The team is 11-9. Jalen isn't going anywhere. The team is over performing and ownership loves Jalen. If Jalen was so terrible we would be 5-15. Give it up already.
I suppose the hope was that he still had enough game to impress Ime enough to include him in the rotation. Obviously, Ime hasnt been impressed.
Doesn't matter what ownership thinks. It's what Ime (and Fred) thinks. He's the judge, jury and executioner now.
And the game that FVV sat, Green had 26 points and 9 assists. I like FVV, but he ain't all that. He's doing a good job in the regular season, which is more than we had in the past. He won't be a playoff winner when the team turns the corner.
Keep banking on Jalen Green - we’ll see how far that gets you. As it pertains to what’s currently happening….its 8:16pm CT and halftime on Wednesday the 13th….He’s already 1-8 with 2 turnovers - and on pace for not playing the 4th quarter again. To my earlier point - bring Cam up for good …..
Cam needs a shot soon, I'm so done with these 2/12 games by Jalen Green Once we get Cam and Amen ramped up with Bari, Tari, Sengun and Brooks. This team will be fill with a bunch of dogs We don't need any finger painted princess divas
The reason Cam Whitmore fell to 20 is the same reason Cam Whitmore is not playing any meaningful minutes in the NBA and probably will not this year at all. The way he plays offense looks great in a highlight reel, but in reality he's a black hole on offense who is looking to get his shot off before anything else. Dude has blinders on out there. He's not ready.
In the G-League: Cam Whitmore is averaging 27/7/3 on 50/42/80 Emoni Bates is averaging 24/5/2 on 46/43/68 In the G-League you have to take the numbers with a grain of salt sometimes.
It's really not about the numbers for Cam in the G-League. They are just watching to see if he can learn how to play proper structured basketball instead of just vomitting up shots everytime he touches the ball no matter the situation
putting up shots is one of the reasons why he just got drafted in the nba at 18, now 19. that comes with the territory. he's going to put up shots when he's in the game, that isn't going anywhere. they're not just going to kill one of his main attributes. It's everything else Cam needs to really learn on how to impact the game without having to score that I believe Ime wants him to progress in. The rockets already have plenty of guys who can put up shots, it's the in-between variables that need to be filled but Cam has never played that type of role at any level which is part of adjusting to the league. The ball has always been in his hands as a primary go to for him
the latest via the box score/play-by-play (12-17-23) vs Austin Spurs. 26 points on 9-17 shooting. 6 boards 4 steals 3 assists 5 turnovers. He was one of four to lose the ball in the last 1:47 to blow a 6-point lead (126-127). I haven't seen the game yet.
I was at the game sitting behind the bench...1st row with my 2 boys. I have a lot to say about it, and some perceptions, with some pics and maybe a video or two......but that will be later this week. DD
