We just dropped the Free Agent bat breakdowns- on breathing orange fire. It’s a rough class beyond the guy maybe having the greatest 3 year baseball arc ever. Listen, subscribe rate and review! I think there’s about 5 guys in the class that don’t cost a bunch of money that could unlock a ton of stuff for us. This won’t be a big FA shopping season, but it could be really impactful (or completely pointless)
I don’t think we have what it takes to get cease and or Roberts. Maybe if the white Sox were going to be shooting for a playoff spot next year so they would need mlb ready players. Looks like they’re going to be in rebuild mode though.
Actually since their owner is older than dirt and does not understand how far away they are from competing in a depth of talent standpoint, the report, just like always, is they do not intend to rebuild or give up on competing in 2024. I'm not sure this is any better, as nothing the Astros give them will accomplish that or else they would simply hold on to those players.
I was able to listen in the car while driving a couple hours today. You guys talked about Conforto being available as a free agent. He's not. He signed a 2 year 36 million dollar deal with an opt out. He did not opt out. https://www.si.com/mlb/giants/news/...fielder-michael-conforto-surprisingly-opts-in "The SF Giants will not be watching veteran outfielder Michael Conforto (34th-best free agent) depart in free agency this offseason. According to a report by Jon Heyman of The NY Post, Conforto has decided to opt into his contract and return to San Francisco with an $18 million salary in 2024."
Thanks. I was dealing with a baaaaaaad list in multiple places- 2 lists actually). There was one other one it thought was wrong and that was Vogelfat- did he get non tendered?) was pretty sure he wasn’t up until after 2024, but trusted the internet more than my own feeble recollections.
