Check again since Clutchfans has a search function... I backed Yuli through his so-called struggles when he was still near the league leaders in doubles all year last year -- and still saving those wild throws from Bregs and Pena. You hate Dusty more than I've ever seen a person hate a sports figure on a local team. You're saying you had Dusty's back all 2022 when posters were calling Dusty every name in the book for continuing to start Yuli, especially after the Astros traded for Macini and he had a hot start?
I commend Dusty for keeping the peace in a locker room but I would never trust him with him drafting a lineup card and managing a bullpen due to the following, and I have been consistent: Having the likes of Goodrum, Robel, and Dubon in the first third of the lineup when they had absolutely no reason to be there. Insisting on the L-R-L setup in the lineup because of 'tradition' Back-to-back days off for starters. Resting players after a multi-hit game because "they are tired running the bases too much." I advocated for Mancini in left when we were trotting out Jake Meyers at CF (and forcing Chas to LF) who was clearly not yet 100% every day. Letting Vazquez rot on the bench. Using a lefty out of the pen just because he is lefty despite multiple pitchers with reverse splits. Dusty should adopt a more NFL or NBA style approach where he's there to 'manage' and 'coach' while there are specialists on the strategy and tactics on different aspects of the game. Until last year's team, Baker has had stacked teams that underperformed in the playoffs (Giants: 2 MVPs in their prime, Cubs: that rotation made tremble in fear, Nats: won a chip after he left). And I am pretty sure others are more frustrated with Dusty than I am. Bagwell on the other hand... I'll own up to my 'hate.' But last time I checked, Drexler just got as much flack for his post-playing days as Bags... and rightfully so.
