I have a cup or 3 of black coffee nearly every morning...rare is the morning I go without. At home, I have a super simple coffee maker. The end. But honestly, the Panera Unlimited Sip Club is the real MVP. For $12/month, I drink all the coffee I want. When they eventually file for bankruptcy protection, I feel certain the corporate statement is going to be something like: "Listen, we had a helluva run, and we were really going well. Then that MadMax guy got the Unlimited Sip Club, and we just couldn't keep up with that."
I can't stand coffee but I've heard they are doing green tea in k-cups now. I don't drink green tea currently. I've read it's supposed to be good for you. I could imagine having a k-cup tea station someday. Tea and biscuits.
Wife just sold the Breville Barista to upgrade to the Breville Oracle. I only drink iced lattes so the benefit to me was negligible but she drinks them hot, so she likes the auto frother. It was pretty expensive but we used the Barista for 5 years pretty regularly so we figured we earned the splurge (and save $ from Starbucks).
Why not just buy tea bags? Or get all fancy with something like one of those tea steepers on Amazon where you make a 3-minute process a half-hour ritual. I always thought it was weird to get a Keurig for tea. Or maybe I'm missing/don't understand something. We used to get pissed off at work when people used the Keurigs for tea because the next person(s) probably had green tea-flavored coffee. Some people would stuff tea bags into the K-cup compartment and just leave them there after use. Nasty.
My setup is simple: I have an Amazon brand Keurig on the left. I have a bowl in the center that holds all my k-cups and pods. Then on the right, I have a large jar for tips.
You're right. I won't get one. I don't have room for it, anyway. lol. I have every other kitchen appliance known to man. Besides, I drink cold brew black ice tea. So...meh!
One cup of coffee = 10 trips to the bathroom I love the smell and I wish I could drink it but it goes right through me. Any time I need a cleanse though one cup will do.
I keep it fairly simple with a Baratza burr grinder, electric kettle and French press. I’ve tried other pour overs and an aero press but a French press is consistent and easy.
We just got the Gaggia Brera for Christmas. I love it so far. I don't make milk drinks, but my wife does. She has used the froth wand to good use but is still intimidated by it. I use it almost every single morning. Currently using the Lavazza Super Cream beans. I like them a lot. Previously we used the Vergano 800 beans. I prefer them but they are more expensive. On the weekends, Sometimes I will do the pour over coffee using Verve Bronson Beans. Or I will do the French Press using Verve 1950 or the Bronson.
A splash of Kahlua, spash of Baily's, splash of Frangelico in a cup of nice strong coffee is a great way to start the day
My setup is a La Marzocco Linea Mini with a Niche Zero grinder. I do daily lattes for my wife and I. I have a new grinder on order, not bc I need one but I am indulgent in my coffee gear. I really enjoy the zen of making my daily espresso, from weighing and grinding the beans to WDT and tamping. I use the Agape mix from Purefi roastery in Cypress.
I'm in this boat. I do like the aeropress for back-packing though. So easy and fast on cold mornings. We also got a free nespresso machine via a friend, and I make the Mrs a cup on occasion -- surprisingly good "longo" it makes, but i still prefer the french press.
