Somewhat related interesting fact: Taylor Hendricks just signed with agent / lawyer Raymond Brothers, whose clients include Danny Green (whom the Rockets let go in good terms), Danuel House (whom the Rockets traded in good terms), and check notes.. DJ Augustin Could be nothing. Just a fun fact!

this is what I expect out from the rest of the season in regards to playoff/play-in: Clippers 4-5 Minnesota 4-4 +1/2 Phoenix 6-4 +1 1/2 Pelicans 2-7 -2 GS 6-2 +2 1/2 Lakers 6-3 +2 Okc 5-4 +1 Dallas 6-3 +2 5. GSW Tied at 6 would be Clippers, Lakers, Dallas. Too lazy to figure out tie breakers. If I’m reading the tie-breakers correctly the Clippers would be the 7th seed 17th pick
Good, I'm happy for him. Now with that out of the way, I hope the Clippers lose every game they have left.
The Lakers and Warriors won tonight. The Suns lost, unfortunately. Clippers are currently sitting at #20 in the draft order, but a lot of teams are breathing right down their necks. Still could very easily see them falling to #15 in the standings.
Them Clips end the season with teams breathing down their necks, start offseason/next season with people breathing down their necks.
2 losses and OKC dropped like 5 places. Same will happen to the Clips and the best part is nearly all the teams behind them are in the same conference.
Clippers are down 12 at halftime. Suns are up in a tight game about to go into the 4th quarter. Hawks beat the Pacers. Possible all the games that matter will go our way tonight for improving the pick.
I'm confused on a particular scenario regarding the Clippers pick protections. If both the Thunder and Clippers miss the playoffs, and say via the lottery both picks end up in the top 4. Do both the Clippers and Thunder retains those picks but the Thunder get first dibs? Also in that scenario, are the Rockets forced to use the Bucks pick?
Correct. The pick swap is top 6 protected. So, if the Clippers end up with the 2nd pick and the thunder end up with the 4th pick, the Rockets would keep the Bucks' pick. But, this is an incredibly unlikely scenario. It would take both teams tanking the rest of the way along with some collusion to boot. One thing I'd like to start seeing in this pick swap language is the ability to swap with any pick the team currently holds. It would be nice to be able to a acquire late first and swap it with the Nets pick.
It would be an uproar for all the teams before those 2 that have positioned themselves in the tank contest just to get into the Top 4.
