Can't blame the other 49ers coordinators who didn't want to jump ship. Texans are still considered a trash fire organization. But this is like the first good news in years.
I'm happy and he's a guy I wanted but lets not crown him or the organization yet. It's one good decision that they could easily F up by doing something dumb like trading up to the #1 pick. I do feel confident that Demeco is that guy though. Seems to be a leader, a motivator, AND a great tactics guy, which means he has all the makings of a POTENTIALLY great coach. Potentially. Here is to hoping he can turn this ship around and be a mainstay for years.

This definitely adds some excitement and interest to the team, both of which i haven’t had for a couple years. Love DeMeco - was one of my favorite players and hope for the best as the coach
1) No one has declined to jump yet 2) They hired the top candidate this cycle and could have hired any number of others who were willing to come here 3) Two major publications called the Texans either the best open job or the 2nd best 4) Coordinators jump based on relationships and career advancement opportunities. If they don't want to come here it's because they think they can't have good results in the next couple of years and are worried about derailing their advancement track
This is the accurate assessment of Culley and Lovie compared to demeco and none of it has to do with the color or their freaking skin
This is what I was wondering. They are reportedly bringing in people to interview for OC, but I haven't seen the news that Pep has been let go. Maybe they are giving him a chance to "interview" to keep his job? Is that a thing?
We may not have the personnel for zone blocking. I’m no expert, but I want coaches that can adjust their systems to the personnel on hand. Not a force fit like Silas has insisted on with the rockets
