I have lived that life. If AJ pitches Cole... If Brad Lidge didn't give up a moon shot to Fat Albert... If Chris Paul doesn't blow a hamstring... if Mike Renfro catch was called the touchdown... now I live the life of we are the world champions.
Here's another angle. If I had bought Amazon stock, invented the iPhone and joined Metallica after Cliff Burton died....
We pitched our 4 starters. They didn't beat any of them. What does it matter what order we beat them in.
DEC: “Man, this is dragging, I miss baseball” JAN: “Man, this is dragging, I miss baseball” FEB: “Man, this is dragging, I miss baseball” MAR: “Man, this is dragging, I miss baseball” REG SEASON START: F****** Ump!
I haven't been keeping up with the Rockets. Are we good yet? Has the genius of Ferntits and Stone brought us to the promiseland?
It baffles me as to how they're not the slightest bit concerned about Toronto and Tampa... two teams who are much closer (if not flat-out better) than the Yankees. And to flip the mindset, Astros fans were more concerned about the Guardians, Rays, Blue Jays and Mariners as dangerous post-season matchups last year, vs. being concerned about the Yankees.
He's a four pitch closer with nasty stuff. He had a remarkable year so he may drop off a bit but I'm not sure he'll struggle in fact I'd bet against it, JMO
and Aaron Judge’s bat will still provide a nice breeze at Minute Maid as he swings under Javier’s invisiball.
Putting judge, breeze and minute maid park in the same sentence is going to give aaron boone an aneurism.
You get him at a discount during his ARB era and then you let someone overpay him when his very best years are already behind him. He'll still be productive but it won't match what he's being paid especiallywhen he's on the back end of his impending huge contract Sorry but he won't be an Astro after 2025. I can easily live with that.
