LOL In hindsight, that was clearly a HR off the bat...but like you I just wanted that run home and my mind said good fly ball when he hit it. Once they showed the CF in his courtesy jog I was screaming go in an almost confused manner when it dawned on me
2010, a year before Moneyball. Edit Yordan's homer without color and It could also be one of those cool 2007/2008 Nba promos. But I think I've posted every version of that homerun and it still feels like the first time viewing it. We can talk why the East Dillon Lions had their sports programs funding taken away from them but no one is ready to have that conversation.
I don't remember which thread I posted in but YES. I was in Right Center field and I said "Yordan, just put it in the outfield, deep enough to get Altuve home, please" Then when he hit it, I literally thought to myself "yea, that should be deep enough" and it NEVER CAME DOWN. I had no idea it was gonna be a homerun until I saw it clear the batter's eye... Also because I wasnt watching on tv so I didnt get to see Yordan's reaction.
Terrible Titanic edits, music doesn't even line up right. People just putting anything out there these days.
MLB: Astros 2022 Review : The Astros DYNASTY "Astros Make America Mad Again" https://www.mlb.com/video/robert-flores-on-the-astros?partnerId=web_video-playback-page_video-share Youtube version that doesn't have the discussion from the MLB Network studio (where he calls Houston a dynasty whether people like it or not etc....)
There were only 2 qualified hitters with a OPS over 1. Alvarez made up 50% of those. For batters with 15 PAs or more, there were 5 hitters with an OPS over 1 with Hensley joining Alvarez for 40%.
I'm interested to see the new rings. I am ready to get another for the collection. I'm guessing middle of the week give aways again.
Did anybody get the World Series Documentary that the team put up for sale last week? I got mine over this past weekend and watched it. It was pretty good. I kind of wished they had done it over the entire postseason instead of just focusing on the World Series, but it was still good. Bun B narrated. I wasn't a huge fan of the silly Paul Wall song they played over the closing credits, but I get it. He's a Houston guy and an Astros fan. Some of the interviews of opposing players and managers were interesting as they talked about key moments. It wasn't clear to me if those interviews occurred during the series or afterwards when everyone knew the end result.
