So they think Young needs a good coach and good WRs? That isn't going to work with the Texans. So if Lovie is still here next year and Young is drafted...expect to see 1st NFL year Tua.
Tua looks like an MVP this year. Also people forget but Watson was almost dealt for the Dolphins picks and Tua. Accuracy is the most important aspect of throwing a football along with anticipation. Young does both really well.
These concerns will grow as the draft gets closer. College highlights tend to be popular before the real scouting starts as the draft approaches. Young is just too small and his arm strength is a massive question mark (can't make all the pro throws). Go defense early and look for QB in other ways (trade, free agency, 2024 draft). We wouldn't be contending in 2023 even if we had rookie Joe Burrow. We should take our time and wait for a true #1 overall QB prospect to emerge in 2024.
This guy is only evaluating this season’s tape and already basically admitted that he didn’t even know that Young had an injury to his throwing shoulder. Not putting much stock in a guy that doesn’t bother to do basic research before he watches tape.
Already a long offseason and it hasn’t even started. I think you have to start fresh with coaches next year regardless of who is drafted. Do we really want top defensive prospects with the current staff if they’re not going to be developed and/or put in position to shine?
I've been worn out by it for at least a month now. Same with the will they/won't they regarding the coaching staff. I watch the games just for the laughs and jokes, because what else is there?
