It was a layup line in first qtr with Sengun out there. Not just him, but his bad defense with the guards bad defense is almost unplayable. Once the bench got in, they finally got stops and Jalen heated up. They made a huge comeback, partly with Bruno eating them up inside and Silas rode the hot hands.
The Nuggets shot 29/62 from three over those games. That's 47%. That's going to be tough if we face the Spurs, Pistons, Magic, or whomever.
Did you watch the game? Sengun wasn't even defending the paint, he was on the wing defending Saric in 1st quarter.
Disagree, he had 13 points at the half but did not get the ball in the 3rd. He plays ok defense, KPJ played terrible defense. We won today just on talent and they did not have their Point god Guard. But he need to keep Sengun in the offense to be efficient. Sengun was dominating Ayton earlier in the 1st half.
We was Lucky in Last 28 sec.accept it İf booker put last shot we re talking about different things. W is a w no matter.
This is like blamimg Segun for guys missing shots lol Its silly. Jalen heating up had nothing to do with Sengun. Why dont you bother to look at Senguns differentials and show some proof of what youre trying to say. Because last I checked we are usuaslly a better defensive and offensive team with Sengun.
The poster I was responding too asked why Sengun only played 20 minutes and I told him what happened, there was no commentary on players in general, just this game.
There was no layup line with Sengun. Guys were missing shots BADLY. Jalen was awful and missing open shots. They made shots later thats what happened. I dont know about riding the hot hand though. Looked like Silas normal minutes for guys. He cuts Sengun short sometimes. Its just what he does as a coach. It only looks like it made sense this game because the guys pulled out a win, most games it doesnt work.
There was a layup line tonight and it has been the same story in 5 of the last 6 games. 40, 33, 22, 42, 44, and 36 points, respectively, in each of the last six first quarters. The starting lineup simply doesn't work defensively. And Silas did adjust his rotations, quite a bit in the third. Most games, any rotation won't work because we are an incomplete team and frankly not very good.
Right but you made it seem like it was because of Sengun and thats why he took him out. Im saying its NOT. Its just what Silas does. Theres no logical reason why Sengun didnt play more minutes, its just what Silas does sometimes. Its just that THIS TIME we won. Most times if he were to do that we get blown out. The Suns had plenty of chances and didnt make simple shots. Its not like Sengun was awful, Silas just really doesnt like giving him minutes. He doesnt like Senguns game its well documented in how he talks in interviews. He gets in trouble for not playing him more which is why he's a starter now but he still doesnt like it. BTW Sengun is only averaging 26 minutes and he played 23. THIS IS WHAT SILAS DOES. Its nothing new or based on how Sengun played.
