My fav non rocket and 2nd best player on Philly. He should have a better than 50% chance to be an all star. They’ll go as far as he leads them.
Really have to hand it to Maxey. Harden was on a mission to get to Philly and stunt his growth as a player, but somehow someway he powered through. I imagine that’s still Harden’s mission this season. We will see if Maxey can once again overcome the purposeful sabotage and take the next step.
He's cut into Tobias' value and turned him into the afterthought. He's a legit #2 option if Harden has lost the mojo, but he's not Harden, and he's probably not all star caliber just yet. If he can soak up some of Harden's secrets he can start putting up some rebound and assist numbers that give him more street cred in the league.
Harden elevates Maxey. The on/off numbers prove it. It’s the only thing Harden is any good at (playmaking). He has no bag. It’s sad. He can’t finish. He threw up a floater, brick. Mid range, brick. How can someone this good 2 years ago age so badly
Hey. I’m just repeating what someone way smarter than me and everyone on clutchfans told me when Harden got traded to Philly. “Harden would stunt Maxeys growth” It’s why again I think Maxey deserves a lot of praise. Maxey broke through the shackles of Harden.
Maxey is also my favorite player right after Jalen Green. Watched a lot of his games and he just plays so well and doesn’t try to do too much. Definitely see him taking a huge step this season.
