Co-Host Lachard Binkley and Vator discuss: Jabari Smith silencing critics for at least one night Tari Eason always being in the right spot. Bruno Fernando bringing something to the Rockets they have sorely missed. What we want to see happen in Friday preseason game 2 https://spoti.fi/3A30nSP https://apple.co/3Q1pGdD
Will listen to later What I want to see on Friday: Good games from both Jalen and Jabari. Sengun to be the offensive hub. Tari to keep playing well and getting minutes. Garuba to have a good game Sengun-Jabari-Tari-Green on court at the same time.
It's the internet. Haters are always hiding until the person they hate, slips up somewhere. Then they come out in droves to post their nuggets of wisdom, then go back into hiding again when the person they hate, has a good game. Rinse, repeat.
They're in the corner with the KPJ haters waiting for their next bad game. F!ckin idiots. KPJ was +23 last evening btw
Let me know when Jabari leaves at halftime or beats up a woman. You guys are idiots. At least you acknowledge that. Where is that contract?
There were haters? I thought almost everyone was in favor of selecting Jabari when it was our turn to pick in the draft.
Just can't contain* my happiness. (I'm so happy) I wanted the Rockets to draft Jabari Smith Jr @ #3 back in November of 2021, after only 2 games @ Auburn: https://bbs.clutchfans.net/threads/jabari-smith-jr-2022s-version-of-scottie-barnes.313766/
Props to @Lachard Binkley and @vator for the informative and entertaining podcast. Rockets no longer worse team in NBA - title goes to Spurs, 2-3 years behind Rockets in their rebuild. Spurs all in for Wemby sweepstakes. Silas only implemented a limited offense for this first preseason game. @vator point that if Silas puts too much too early it may overload the younger players. Better to be 100% efficient with limited offense vs 50% with nth number of sets. Jabari confident with shot now. And it shows (off the dribble 3, off dribble 2, corner 3 c&s, etc.) Sengun will see double teams in future, unstoppable 1v1 in post. PnR with KPJ-Fernando was surprisingly effective. Tari leading scorer with ZERO plays called for him. Silas will be forced to play or even start Tari, a double-double hooper who just makes plays. KPJ and Green offseason work translated to the court. KPJ with crazy skip pass (with off hand no less) to Jabari for open 3. KPJ for MIP? Silas still tinkering with rotation. Tate may start next game (Raptors). Need to see consistency game to game. How do Rockets respond/adjust to adversity? --------- Rockets had THREE guys with +20 pts and neither named Green or KPJ. Color me impressed.
No people just always want to bring a combative mentality to everything. A handful of people tweet some **** and all of the sudden boom haters are everywhere Lin is gone but the LOH and LOF mentality stays, anybody who disagrees with me is a hater.
There weren't many to begin with... just one that I can think of who just said the same thing over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over
Considering that the national media dismissed Green's improvements in the last 25 games, Green should be a shoe-in for winning it without actually improving. (fingers crossed that it wasn't just a fluky 25-game stretch)
Most of them were Chet fans….one remark I remember specifically is that Chet’s frame shouldn’t be associated with an injury….egg on their faces fo sho….I was team Jabari all the way from the jump..
A fun listen guys. It’s great to be excited again. I don’t need to be contending for a championship to be excited about the rockets. Show me progress. We’ve got about a year and a half of rebuilding under our belt. That’s not much time, but I am seeing signs of progress. Obviously we need to see it in the regular season, but it’s clear we added two really solid players to our core through the draft. And if Sengun, KPJ, and Green show progress during the season, we’ll be ahead of schedule on the rebuild. That’s all u can really ask for at this point.
I wanna hear from the Daishen Nix haters. Or are we going to wait for him to embarrass y'all some more?
