So are people mad a Dusty for not pulling Verlander or for going to one of his best relievers in the 8th? I have plenty of issues with Dusty when it comes to lineup construction, but some people will blame him for literally everything that goes wrong, even when he makes a perfectly logical decision.
i have no issue with his pitching management last night. No way he was going to pull JV and I get that. If Stanek was unavailable then Neris was a logical choice. Now I do fault him for pulling Urquidy early the night prior and going with Montero.
Oddly my biggest complaint is him starting Dubon, who ended up with 3 hits. Just tough luck the last 2 nights. If Bregman makes the barehanded play he makes about 75% of the time, we probably win the 1st game. If Maldy's line drive in his first bat is anywhere except straight at 3B, we probably score a couple more runs. If Altuve would ever learn to quit being picked off of bases...
Yordan out with hand injury. No reason Mancini shouldn't at least play DH every game now. False report. but if that hand injury is hurting Yordan like it was a few months ago, he really needs to sit. The way he's shaking it after each at-bat is concerning.
It's a Click/Crane issue more than anything. Didn't do enough before the season to address the offense and didn't do enough to address the injury to Brantley at the deadline. My evidence.... Niko Goodrum. Case closed. Brantley had labrum surgery. If the Astros didn't know Brantley needed surgery before the deadline (like Click claimed) then the medical staff needs an overhaul. Don't worry.... I'm sure we will have an offensive explosion today against Kopech
First time since The Stros won the World Series that I feel discouraged and starting to care less because Dusty will find a way to ruin the Astros.... What a disaster... Let me guess, Yuli batting 2nd again today....
Writing is on the wall that he's get the boot after this season so I have a feeling it will be his way or the highway in the playoffs which is concerning..
Hopefully its not too late by then, we have tons of great young players but the run The Astros have been on will eventually come to an end. Can't believe the Astros had this terrible of a manager during their best years.
Was it yesterday or the day before the Houston Chronicle put up a headline saying save the date for the HOU/LAD WS this year? Stfu. I hate the media sometimes
I'm worried that you think the quality starts he still had in the last 2 games that he has "struggled" means he's in a free fall. Over and over again Astros fans show how spoiled we are.
Right there with you bud but I really wanna see Mancini grow in this lineup Unfortunately Dusty is playing stupid games right now
I don't believe that for a New York second. Click brought in Mancini and Vasquez. Musty just can't find a way to replace Gurriel, Meyers and Dubon in the starting line-up. The offense looks totally different when they are both in it.
