Brooklyn can't get equal value for KD, which goes beyond just his talent level. KD's departure makes Kyrie's future departure much more likely, the whole point of going to Brooklyn was to play with KD. Even if they get decent young pieces, Kyrie is only under contract for next season. Getting some good younger players probably doesn't entice him to stay.
I don't get how the Nets are clearly in blow-it-up status yet also forked over a late first for.....Royce O'Neale? I mean, ok - Eric Gordon guys! you will need the scoring....
I told many of you Harden lovers Stone did a great job because Nets would imploded very quickly. Enjoy that plate of crow.
Then KD is just as smart for going to GS to join a 73 win team. If LeBron could have signed to a 73 win team, he would have too. KD took advantage of an extremely rare opportunity. There will never be another team that good with cap space to outright sign a max superstar free agent without losing anything of their team. It's unheard of and KD made the smart move.
I think his point was LeBron pioneered the player-GM organizational structure of the league in which we now live He invented the super-friends teamup route of championship roster construction And he's done it 3 times - MIA w Wade & Bosh - CLE w Kyrie & Love - LAL w Davis KD is now working on his 3rd teamup, so just keeping up with the Jameses
Yup. Though that could be a dangerous game as we *could* take a step forward. Not playoffs but maybe more like in the 8-10 range.
lets wait till we make the playoffs or win a title with this collection of players before we crown and say who won what. The nets will get a haul back for kd
Every team LeBron went to was in the lotto before him and after he left. There is nothing to suggest he would join a 73 win team that just played for the title. Big difference between things in place for us to build and possibly contend immediately and I’m going to a proven winner. The Nets situation clearly provides another example.
