Way too early prediction thread: Who's team will it be 2-3 years down the road, Green or Smith? Will there be a clear alpha like Jordan and Pipen, or 2 equals like Shaq and Kobe?
It's hard to imagine it not being Green's team. He's the guy who will have the ball in his hands. And Jabari's most favorable comp that I've seen is a 6'10 Klay Thompson. That's an amazing secondary player but it's still a secondary player.
Definitely Green's team. He has the IT factor. Jabari seems to have the work effort to be a great #2 though
Jabari seems mature with strong leadership qualities. I can see Green being a lead by example type rather than a vocal leader- one of my big draws for Cade before last year's lottery.
Best case scenario and not out of the question outcome. Green will be the facilitator in crunch time. Smith will be like Horry/Kukoc
I don’t see this at all. Green seems like the type that’s going to let you know what he wants. He’s an alpha.
I don’t think guys’ egos are the same as they were back when Marbury and Garnett or Kobe and Shaq were at odds. When LeBron and Bosh joined up with Wade in Miami, everyone said it was Wade’s team, but we all know LeBron was running the show. Natural leaders will rise and it might not be either of them. Who gives a sh*t? Worry about things that are important… like what their nicknames will be.
I'm hopin its everybody's team... enough with cornerstones and roleplayers... Green will be leading scorer...
KPJ will mature and take a backseat since we are winning by then, but it will 100% be Green's team and maybe Victor Wembanyama (if we get him).
Good question, Green’s for now even if Smith is the better overall player. We won’t know for sure until after next offseason tho, another top pick and/or FA could be the guy.
The only person who didn't know who's team it is was Christian Wood. now KPJ will have to figure out he's 3rd or 4th in the pecking order, not second.
