Even still, he’s a facilitator out of the low or high post. He is the perfect pair to Green. Stop with this 5 out BS with no player movement.
Sengun is going to have an excellent 3-point stroke. And it's going to make him a superstar overnight.
the same goes for draymond green.... still the most important player of the greatest bb dynasty of all times
The valuable info I gained from this thread : SexGun Sengun’s Goons 2 future shirts at the CF shop…never change CF, never change
Yeah so put green on this team he would still be the most important player on the worst team in the league. Wonder what that means
Last season was Sengun's first NBA season. He was 18! His body had not (still has not) fully developed. He had to relocate halfway around the world. He had to play in a 5-out system which was not familiar to him. He did not speak any English!! So maybe we shouldn't be ungrateful bastards, huh?
If they had a reasonable idea of what a basketball player should be then I could see paying that some attention.....like if they were saying someone didn't fit their vision of what a basketball player should be due to them not having any legs or being 5'2 and 350 lbs, sure I'd sign on for that criticism.....but when their notion of what a basketball player should be is as narrow as saying that they should literally all be wings, that's just ridiculous. Sadly, we have far too many here that share that laughable take on basketball. .
Scola had 31 dunks in his entire NBA career. Sengun has 44 dunks in his rookie season with limited minutes. Try to be less disingenuous
I don't think the take is disingenuous, I think it's probably just foolish. You shouldn't presume malice in situations that can be adequately explained by ignorance and incompetence.
First, Green isn’t untouchable. I’d trade him for a couple players in a heartbeat. Second, Green it would take a lot for me to give up on him. Same with Alp. The upside for both is high. Third, no team is going to trade their young superstars for either of them. And David Lee with better passing and defense is a top 20 player in the league.
From a culture/relationship standpoint, the Houston Rockets could NEVER entertain trading Green. This is like a marriage between franchise and star player. If they did trade Green, it would make players not trust Fertitta’s organization. The Rockets could stand to be firmer on players (with a smart coach to buy into), but you take it a bit far. If the Rockets dick around Jalen Green like the Thunder did Durant, he’ll resent us and leave. If we treat him like the Bucks did Giannis, better chances.
I love Sengun, but I just can’t imagine him being a starting center on a contender. Not very athletic, undersized, can’t shoot, not a lob threat, not a rim protector. Time will tell
