Season 1 - 2nd episode is out. https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podca...oins-the-show-to/id1621866847?i=1000559928126 https://rss.com/podcasts/cfrocketfuel/479427/
Not basketball related but this was the first thing "Rocket Fuel" made me think of. Surprised no one had posted it yet.
Good criticism I like the idea of having a segment somewhat intertwined with clutchfans. Having a discussion around a post or thread. This particular first podcast was just two guys talking Rockets basketball and somewhat seeming to just say what they believe would he the most agreed opinion out there. It felt kind of... long? I'm not saying I would do better, because I wouldn't. That's just how I felt while listening. One of my favorite people to listen talk Rockets is @Clutch and since he's involved with the project I'll keep listening as the pod progresses.
I think they were just so excited to discuss Rockets again on a podcast, that they got carried away a bit. I'm hopefully that it will be very good.
Episode 3 is out. With coach Abdelfattah. Discusses championship season and winning culture. Podcast version. https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podca...h-joins-the-show/id1621866847?i=1000560776384 https://rss.com/podcasts/cfrocketfuel/484690/ Please also go drop a LIKE on the YT version.
This is crazy, how podcasts and stuff have taken off and people are not afraid of putting their faces out there.....it's great! DD
Episode 4 is out. Keandre Ashley of Hoops Intellect joins host Lachard Binkley (@BinkleyHoops) to discuss: Who is his top 5 draft prospects? How concerns about Paolo Banchero's defense could be overblown Who would he pick at 17? Also, is next year's draft as special as everyone has made it out to be? Keandre Ashley of "Hoops Intellect" (he's supposed to have a good "mock draft" worth checking out) was a nice choice for a guest interview. Liked his takes. It's good to hear a different perspective. Binkley and Ashley discussed the top 3 of the draft. Keandre views Paolo as the #1 pick, with Chet going 2nd, but is very high on Smith, that if we end up with Jabari we should be really excited. No big surprise there! His opinion about Banchero was definitely of interest, since there's a lot of talk of him falling to 3 and the Rockets. Towards the end, Lachard asked Keandre what he thought of Jalen Green before his draft and his development over the course of the season. Ashley said that he wasn't surprised, that during the season Green was largely what he expected after seeing what he did with the Ignite, but that towards the end, with Green seeming to "score 40 with ease," that he was excited to see how he was playing and that Green was "ahead of schedule" going into next year. Have to say I really enjoyed hearing that! Well worth a listen, folks.
icymi: Rocket Fuel Podcast host @Lachard Binkley just registered on CFs. He started a thread in the 2022 NBA Draft forum to discuss the latest podcast. https://bbs.clutchfans.net/threads/...l-podcast-to-discuss-all-things-draft.315888/
I've listened to each episode so far, fun Rockets talk that is like sweet nectar while I'm living out of state. I liked Keandre's prediction of Paolo to the Magic and Jabari to the Rockets.
I really enjoy this podcast. Your grades were brutal but fair. i like the talent of the 4 guys you evaluated but obviously they aren’t all a great fit together. Given the misalignment between KPJ and Sengun and the way KPJ’s contract is structured, I predict KPJ will end up being the odd man out. It’s too bad because he’s got all star talent as a shooting guard. I expect Silas to be let go in the offseason. I pray for a significant trade to free up playing time and development opportunities for our best prospects.
