Until we have a long extension from 2 of them, Bregs,Altuve,Correa....by a lot. They're already around 100 WAR and counting.
Really hope he makes it to the all star team, it’s hard to break in the first time but if he keeps this base they might not be able to keep him out.
I will take the first group even if it's just because we know Altuve is going to play his whole career here and we think Bregman might, while the other guys could all be on 6/7 year type plans. If you made it out to be a WAR per year in the Astros uniform I'd probably pick door #2.
It's in Dodgers stadium so don't expect any 2017 Astros to go but none may be worthy of going this year anyway. Yordon should be in the HR derby this year. I would expect him to accept the invitation to go after that million dollar prize.
Altuve leads all 2b in homers and ops. Verlander cy young contender, Air Yordan 2nd in AL homers and for argument La tormenta gets votes for being the best Shortstop. That's 4 players. Montero's .63 era could be a maybe for 5th. If they all say no they have to use the same excuses as last year for trolling purposes.
And Alvarez can try to win the derby in te stadium of the organization that traded him away for a negative value reliever.
Unjustifiable projection at the 1/5th mark but if this pace continues he will finish with a bWAR over 10.
Very high praise for Peña here. Quite the comp but I can see some of the similarities being outlined here
