hat tip to @i3artow i3aller for the two tweets from Clutch. Surely this deserves its own thread. Adding a poll to get reactions. May add additional poll responses if folks voice interesting perspectives or alternative views.
I have a bad feeling they will. If the Rockets end up with one of the worst 3 records, it will be because the Magic, Pistons, and Thunder win more games than them. Not because the Rockets will try to lose games. I think the Rockets will win too many games and will need help from the other teams.
Damn , Clutch with the “torpedo your team for 72 games “ I mean not that I disagree ... and thank you for saying what everyone else is thinking ... but still ... dayyyymm
They need to sit anyone that gets hot and make sure they lose. This draft is too important with our future drafts given to OKC and dependent on the Nets picks. We need to make sure we have the worst record to make sure we’re at least top 5.
Rockets have literally won 4 of their last 25 games. Now people think the team with the worst point differential in the league by almost an entire point is just gonna reel off a bunch of wins? Because they beat Washington after losing 5 straight? I’m chillin until lottery night
Strange poll options so had to vote ‘other’ They play the games so yes it’s possible they will fall to 4th worst record if these guys get on a run, but 4th worst could get first pick so we’ll have to let the next 10 games and draft lottery play out. I’m confident Wood reverts to mediocrity.
every one of these rare fluke wins, people want to suddenly act like the team is good or something. Like they haven't been trying to win games. The worry has been pretty laughable Is going 2-8 too good? asking for a friend. that's probably best case scenario if they're lucky
Spurs beat us by 25 and 30 in our last 2 matchups…we’ve lost to Orlando and got annihilated by the Pelicans by like 30 just last week last time we played the Blazers, they beat us by 15 all of these are below average-trash teams Rockets been getting smacked by teams on the level of the Spurs, Blazers, and Kings all season with an occasional win here and there
The Nets dub didn't make much sense, but it's not so far-fetched to envision HOU winning one too many games versus very beatable teams.
I think C Wood needs to keep an eye out for Tonya Harding type Rox fans with pipes in their hands....
A team field trip to Landry's for some barely survivable food poisoning is in order. Stone, order up!
