You can't give up multiple firsts for a player who might quit on you at any time. Trading for Simmons is a pathway to mediocrity imo.

    No team wants Wall.

    Even with a FRP attached.

They don't want him at the current price.

If he was on a contract similar to EG teams would be lining up with offers.

But at $45million there's not a team out there that has $36m in salary to match without giving away half their roster just to make the money match and it gets worse next year.

$44,310,840 the receiving team has to take back a minimum of $35,348,672

Next year his salary and 125% minimum increases too - $47,366,760 in salary and a minimum matching salary of $37,793,408.

Right now, what team has $35,348,672 in salary they can send back without gutting their roster - And those contracts have to be palatable to the Rockets too ....

There are only 8 teams in the league paying a single player enough to match the $35,348,672 minimum.

22 teams do not pay a single player $35,348,672. or more. Let that sink in.

I think we all know Wall's salary breakdown by now.

That was a lot to write to end up with the same conclusion, Wall is not tradeable.

    Doesn't work salary wise.

Or in any multiverse with Morey as GM of the Sixers.

How bad is John Wall's contract? .... So bad you cannot trade him for Ben Simmons straight up.

Philly would have to add another $2,344,736.

Ben Simmons fits our team. We are not looking for family members or friends but rather a championship winning basketball team. Simmons gets us closer.
