We have a long way to go as the draft evaluation process hits full swing with the all-star games, combine, school days, etc. This should be the most fun we've had with the draft in years. Can't wait for the Watson Auction to get underway.
Looking forward to seeing what Caserio can do with a full complement of picks. 4 top 100 picks should bring some long time starters. Give me Neal at #3 and Salyer at #37.
Yeah I’m all for staying put unless the return is crazy good. The Pats always seemed like they traded back so much and that doesn’t excite me in the least. So hope we don’t go that route. Hoping we can trade Watson, possibly Tunsil and just keep most of the picks. If all goes well the Texans should have more than enough to add a lot of talent.
I know OT is not a sexy pick and many want the two DE because that’s flash but we need Neal so much - he’s a monster in a good way and would go far for progress
Bookend left tackle on a rookie deal to go along with a QB on a rookie deal(Mills) for the next 3 years, can go a LONG ways towards a quick rebuild. Taking an O lineman in the top 3 is much more bearable if you have plenty of draft capital to add to other positions of need. But- you only take Neal at #3 if you are positive he will be absolutely Elite. I’ve read some mixed reviews about his pass blocking but his run blocking seems to be excellent. Obviously there is still plenty of time for him to develop, but his physical attributes and size are unreal
Wouldn’t mind them going Neal and the best weapon with the second round pick. If you keep Tunsil you got him and Howard to hopefully be an above average line. The defense has so many holes but I think the foundation of a rebuild starts with oline.
I like this pick if we trade LT before the draft. Not sure if we could get a late 1st for him, but that would be minimum I hope Cas starts with.
I think something needs to happen with Tunsil or Tytus if they're drafting Neal at #3. That'd be 4 recent first round picks invested in 3 tackles. I don't think they'd draft Neal and move him to guard..that's a waste of time and resources. Tytus is better at tackle than guard, and has been vocal about playing tackle. Tunsil went missing, but he's still the best lineman on the team, and an elite pass protector. So somebody would either get traded, or play out of position.
I've seen plenty of mock drafts recently having the Jags take Neal. Which makes sense since Trevor need line protection. Three is a damn good spot to be in tho.
