He avoided turnovers. He avoided sacks. He made plays with his legs. All are things that keep drives alive, keep possession, and contribute to winning. (All are also things that Mills doesn't do.) Would it have changed the Texans' record at all? Who knows. But Taylor is generally a better QB for a bad team because he can bail more plays out.
He had a solid game. He didn’t lose the game, but he didn’t win the game either. Defense and bad Titans offense did that. 190 total yards for Texans with 5 turnovers. He is what he is, a back up journeyman QB that knows the game. Weak arm but makes up for it with experience. Edit: Same type of turnovers in Miami game, which he lost because of his turnovers. He won’t win games for you but he can lose them for you.
Defense had a stellar game. Multiple takeaways and 4th down stops. Tyrod was miles better this week than he was in the Miami game.
Salty cmoak. Tyrod beat the number one seed afc team. Anything is possible If tyrod was with us the whole season playoff is possible via afc south ticket, but mills took over and it showed that he is not ready/starter material.
Not sure I agree with your paper cutter assessment, but let's say that's true... versus Davis Mills, who WILL lose the game for you, and who WILL NOT give your team any conceivable chance to compete outside one freak performance against the Patriots.
This has nothing to do with Mills. Tyrod didn’t win the game yesterday. The defense did. Tyrod didn’t lose the game for the Texans like he did against the Dolphins (one of the worst teams in the league).
The defense beat them, Tyrod scored on short fields, was pretty bad in the second half throwing. He is a game manager and that’s ok. Mills has far more upside on arm talent alone.
