JVG, Adelson, Jackson….my next door neighbor, don’t matter who just need to remove entire pathetic coaching staff.
Replace him by a traffic cone and the team might play better. Get me one of those shiny reflective ones and it might even look better in the bench.
Meh, I really don't care that much. 20 seasons as an assistant and could not stop Curry/Lebron/Doncic from becoming stars. Sounds like a good fit. So far I like how they've been developing Green and Sengun. Even Wood is learning defense, off ball and playmaking a little - he has less than 100 games under his belt and never before for the same team two consecutive seasons. Green is focusing on defense and catch and shoot mostly, tightening up the foundation of his game before we work on high usage. Sengun just needs to build up stamina, understanding his teammates tendencies, understanding the full scope of opponents in the league. Give them half a season. Rome wasn't built or lost in a day.
If we don't get to 10 wins this season then why is he here? That would be two horrific seasons in a row.
When has Jeff ever played that many rookies? He is a guy for veterans. People, why are you living in the past mentally? You already have the throwback games every now and then, isn't that enough? But sure, I want him gone from the big networks and join the Houston commentating team. He is a funnier commentator than being a coach IMHO. I do not mind paying him as an extra counselor. Off you go, Ryan Hollins.
Your points are valid and timely. It’s hard to watch the team, I feel vested in, not win. Silas lacks the visible fire and passion in a coaching, which is probably good in today’s world. I don’t want to see throwing chairs like Knight used to but do something. I truly do not understand 2/3 of his reasoning plus his soft “Bob Rosslike” personality is hard to take when something I love seems to be mishandled.
If it happens, no more no names I want someone with history in defense and a strict regime. Someone who has a system. No Milkhairs, no MDAs
What you're witnessing is a coach who has way more experience than his age. You listen to his interviews, he's so focused on development and always deflects questions about winning. The kids need that, especially KPJ. They need to be allowed to make mistakes and deal with the repercussions (losing), we've only played 12 games. I'm sure accountability will gradually escalate which is good. The wins don't matter to the org no matter how much anyone lobbies for it. He's just accepting the situation and focusing on the positives, it's a good sign. A rookie coach would typically be fuming all the time but you can tell Silas just knows these guys need time and it shows. I really don't know about him tactically when we get to playoffs but it really doesn't matter right now.
Yes, this is why I was telling @D-rock Abdelfattah from the Vipers before the hire. Whoever gets the job would take a beating. At least you could send him back down to the Vipers to coach again. This is the reason I believe John Lucas turned down the job. Too little pay for too much stress
