This x100000000. Good post. Yes, Scott Pippen is my least favorite Rocket of all time....but that doesn't mean I don't think he was a sensational player. Regardless, Pippen's fame and the only reason why anyone cares about what he is saying today is all inextricably connected to MJ, whether he likes it or not.
You would but the Bulls of that time would not. He is a troubled man for some reason but history should not be changed according to them. In hindsight the Bulls had some really difficult characters on that team. They got it done inspite of everything.
For someone who has a face longer than a horse, he is doing alright. BTW Andre Giant should be alive. cough cough
He said he could drop 40 a game if he got the ball as much as Harden. Still think that was the most delusional Scottie Pippen comment.
Both Rodman and him (hm to Rasheed Wallace) saying alot of ridiculous stuff about the modern game. THere's no way the 1999 Bulls would've went 50-0, when they went 62-20 in the last season, especially with all of the back-to-back that were played in 1999. I feel like Pippen has more shine than Harden, and fans for that era often believe he was a much better player than Harden ever could be. Though, the reality is Pippen could arguably be the best defender ever, offensively he is nowhere near what Harden could do on offense. Harden almost beats him in nearly every offensive category and has shown he can carry a team for a decade. We've seen him play on teams that weren't overwhelming stalwarts. He'd be a very difficult player to stop with his size, dribbling, ability to create space to shoot, and his overall shooting ability (3 point/mid range). Same for KD. Both guys are thoroughly unfair in any era.
Depending how they shoot the 3s but they would have dominated the paint somehow. I do not think they mean it literally.
Agree on all but a minor one, that Kukoc actually sacrificed the most to make that dynasty last as long as it did, both statistically and on reputation. He never had his own team to prove it, but, when Pippen was out, Kukoc played the Pippen role just fine and achieved similar personal stats as Pippen and achieved the same team success. Phil Jackson had expressed that he sometimes regrets that he had limited Kukoc's chances to flourish under the star system of the dynastic Bulls; for example game 5 of 1998 finals when Kukoc who was 11/13 and was the one who gave the bulls a chance to win; the last shot to win it all at home went to to MJ who was struggling all night long and went 9/26.
God Jesus why do these idiots always do those inevitable "basketball player investments" like alcohol, restaurants, stupid production companies and crypto/nft scams.
Pippen was never the sharpest tool in the shed. Remember he almost snitched on his teammates live on Oprah.. they all had to say " no we dont" in unison He signed a dumb contract that even the owner told him not to sign, and he's paying for it til this day which is why he's doing this nonsense meet up and taking shots at MJ. Ever since his son passed he seems to have lost it.
