Nah what many have decided (and they are correct) is Mobley is the best pick out of the top 3. He has shown enough flashes already off really his all around game. They'll do a redraft years later and both he and Barnes would be the first two picked. Doesnt mean JG wouldnt be picked in the top 15 or whatever.
We'll see. Read a stat somewhere that a HUGE chunk of Mobley's points are off of dimes. Again just two totally different positions.
https://www.statmuse.com/nba/ask/worst-nba-plus-minus-2022 Meanwhile JG has the second worst plus minus in the entire NBA!!!
Using Mobley's stats so far and plugging in WS/48, TS%, RPG, PPG, Defensive rating, if maintains this level of production for the rest of his rookie season it compares favorably to a rookie Charles Barkley and the next guy up is Mourning. Not bad at all Evan.
Pretty impressive. I also think CLV is using him correctly in their system and Im still trying figure what kind of system Silas is doing down here.
Barkley finished behind Olajuwon & Jordan in Rookie of the Year voting, so there's room for Green & Sengun to move up.
I heard Mobley's pops got a good look at KPJ while still a Trojan while his boys were being recruited ( Along with himself as a pack age deal so he could fulfill his Make-A-Wish dream to 'coach' college basketball ... so damn weak for a grown man ) Anyways dad decided he didn't want his golden goose Evan on the same team with a 'cancer' like KPJ running point Just what I heard ... doesn't mean the Mobley's do not also dislike FerTits
doesn't matter. he has passed the eye test even three games in because of how he was moving on the court and the fact that the nba game didnt seem too big for him. sometimes you know when a player has it. that's not to say he will be tim duncan but right now he has a better shot at that than JG does being Kobe imo. this takes nothing away from green btw but he just will need more time to figure things out. he is still a great prospect by all means.
What I mean is you can tell (or at least I could) just a couple games in that Mobley passed the eye test, I didn't need 20+ more games from then to tell me that. So in that case sample size doesn't matter. I highly doubt Mobley gets worse as time goes on. He's only improving.
But that is indeed what you are saying. That because of NINE games Green has no shot at being a Kobe but because of those same NINE games Mobley has a better shot at being Duncan. It's ridiculous. Who knows how it turns out but 1/8 of a season to determine a career is crazy even for this instant gratification society we've become. So many all stars and hof that have had a terrible rookie campaign, as in EIGHTY TWO, games but here we are talking about 1/8 of the season. What I will say is that contrary to popular belief, like those hampering Mobley was too skinny, Mobley is more NBA ready right now. So is Sengun. But that doesn't mean Green won't get there because of these 9 games.
