After 10 games, unsurprisingly the Rockets are on pace for one of their worst records in franchise history. The raw numbers would suggest they are flirting with being named among the worst basketball teams in NBA history in two other notable categories: turnovers and free-throw shooting. While the Rocket's overall FT shooting (70.3%) and TOs (19.8) are only dismal, their road performances are among the worst in league history. Road Splits Rockets 2021-22 FT shooting: 66.3% Turnover per game: 21.4 The Philadelphia 76ers (1967-1968) earned the distinction of being the worst free-throw shooting team in NBA history at 63.5%. Have two teams from the same city ever gotten the first pick in the same year? I googled it but couldn't find ****. Texans and Rockets
This team is playing better than their record and there's going to be more and more improvements as season progresses. Plus they've had to play some pretty good teams. The only team we should have beat that we didn't beat is maybe Minny and they had more experience than us.
I agree with this, and this road stretch has been tough. And the youth shows, as it did in the third quarter last night when Golden State turned on the GSW switch for real. This team will be fine. Maybe 10-15 wins instead of the 20+ I thought we'd get this season, but the team is fun to watch and has flashes of brilliance at times.

I want to believe this, really I do, but we are historically bad at turning the ball over. I guess that happens when you run a strange science experiment with your roster (limited NBA rotation players + 19-year olds + cap fillers who won't play). It is on the players and coaches to avoid mediocrity and the wall of shame.
We were competitive in the 2nd Laker game and almost pulled that out and the Nuggets game as well but we've been mostly destroyed in the other contests. We're actually on pace for a worse record than last year. Magic could happen but it's not looking good at the moment. At least FT shooting, TO's and defensive schemes are things we can work on as the season progresses.
Oh, you thought the Rockets would play all top notch playoff teams from last year on the road the rest of the season. That's on you.
I can definitely see a turnover record coming. Guys are just slinging the ball around and losing the handle constantly. I felt like I probably saw 5 turnovers in a row in the Phoenix game in the 4th. It's backbreaking.
I think this is a joke but I'm not sure. I looked at the schedule and I think we can win 5 more games so 6 wins by end of December? That puts us around 14 wins for the season. am I being too harsh? That's 6-36 by Jan 1 if my math is correct. Maybe we win a few more, call it 8-34. Ugh. The losing is hard to watch. Will we play better but still lose? That would be decent, not great. There's still a lot of luck in getting a top pick, even with a horrible record.
