Agree, but also believe he's being too careless. He has to treat that ball like his baby and not let anyone, but his family touch it.
Youre right. He is careless. I was more concerned with him being bullied at the point with defensive pressure but what he does is a lot of WTF stuff. I’m hoping film study and chemistry will help.
Scoot and JG are Gganbu now. I can't stress enough how fortunate we are to have brought in such an amazing class of rookies. These guys are going to be instrumental to KPJ's developmental trajectory. We now have a bunch of incredibly talented genuinely great guys for Porter Jr to grow with. Having such teammates to bond with and compete against is a blessing and will only bring out the best in KPJ.
Don't need Jalen to be a combo guard. He's a SG that can handle the ball when he has to. My issue with KPJ is that he doesn't look like a combo guard at all. He also looks like a SG that can handle the ball when he has to. At least right now. Of the 3 core pieces, only KPJ doesn't really look like what he's supposed to look like, which is a PG. That being said I'll really reserve judgement for the end of the year. All 3 guys have issues right now. KPJ has issues with overall PG duties and taking care of the ball. Green gets pushed around on defense a lot and is too reliant on the 3. Al-P fouls too much right now and still has trouble finishing at the rim. All in all can't be too upset with how the rebuild is going.
Yeah, I think Porter is more as a shooting guard not PG , he is shooting better than last year so far: FG%: 40.0 3P%: 40.9 His FG% is kinda low but his 3P% looks nice
I think KP3 can be an all-star or near all-star. Definitely a starting pg. He has a lot to work on but the progress seems to be there.
I am still on board with KPJ's star potential. I'll admit that I'm not so sure he can be a point guard. But I don't see any reason not to let him try this entire season.
Wow!! He knows that the fans are upset with him. well, he is feeling the pressure...he usually bounce back.
The only immature thing about what he wrote was that he actually pays attention to what people on twitter think. All he should care about is what his coaches and teammates think.
He’s 21 years old and human. personally idc what he uses for motivation. I just want him to care about getting better and stay engaged. I think he’ll be fine
There's enough talent there for him to be a contributor. If he keeps growing he could easily be a 3 for this team. What's the worst case? Spark plug 6th man? Still too much time this year to figure it out. I know its hard to believe, but I think Silas and Stone know it may take more than 3 games. Relax and enjoy the ride. If you really thought that the ROX would be a winning team this year then I salute your fandom, but question your sanity!
I'm old school, so when I walked on the court or field I was going to war. Today sports are far more collegial and older players will definitely take advantage of younger guys as Marcus Smart did on one turnover. I'm hopeful KPG can consistently tap into the dog in him like he unleashed on MIL last year. It's still early and running a team is a big responsibility that we all need to have some patience as he gets more game experience in the role.
