Simple question and poll. I've bought league pass for every season of Harden's Rocket career, also made it out to a few games. Those teams were mostly worth it minus the Ty Lawson season but this team I'm not so sure. Should I get in on the ground floor or wait for another Harden-like trade before caring about this team again?
Hell yeah. I think everyone is overreacting to preseason games. Yes, we’re going to lose a lot but it’ll be exciting watching these guys grow.
Those of us that lived out of market were spoiled - between league pass free previews & national games & local visits, the Rockets were basically on TV as often as not outside of Houston for like the past 7 years. Now you basically have to buy LP or hope that NBATV gives us a pity spot as a foil for Zion or somebody to dunk into trash can. But, at least we avoided the luxury tax.
Important to remember we have a lot of young players who have no idea how to play basketball -- this is a project, it will be hard to watch 80 percent of the time, but that's a part of the journey! A waste of time but not really
I'd much rather watch and/or buy tickets to go see a team play that is rebuilding with an actual plan. The young core is actually exciting and something to look forward to. Unlike the Texans, with the owner having no clue what to do over there.
I’m planning to make it to the home opener this year, but after that, I’m not sure how many games I’m gonna go to I didn’t go to a single game last year, but it’s been 10+ home games and multiple playoff games for many years…I’m really not trying to head down to TC just to see us down 20 in the 2nd quarter shooting brick after brick and playing no D Harden era spoiled us…u could buy a ticket and be confident that the team would win and u were likely to see Harden put on a show…I saw many magnificent Harden games in person including that 53 point triple double against the Knicks, that stepback three and CP3 fake laugh game against GS, that game where we got that super saiyan Harden gif against the Pacers, and many more even the K-Mart 14th pick squads were competitive most nights, so going to the games was worth it even if we were just mediocre This team? I’d honestly rather see the inevitable beatdown at home than wade through traffic to go to TC. We’ll see tho this team is ass…straight up booty butt cheeks
I'm genuinely interested in what other diehard Rockets fans will do this season. Like others have said, we were spoiled for a long time. I don't even care about the money as much as the time.
cheap tickets. empty arena. youth movement. whats not to like? I'll be here for all 82 how about you?
I would argue this team will be fun to watch despite a mountain of losses. Scoot and Green are two electrifying if raw talents. Sengun has been intriguing in the preseason. The kids will have some clunkers but those three plus Wood are going to have some amazing performances for sure. the real fun this season will be watching them grow as individuals and as a team.
