How much money did he end up getting? When was he deemed not Texans-worthy? I just don't remember that.
Alot He had a domestic violence incident in college. But has never had any issues as a pro. On the field he's a very underrated play maker.
Bring back Gaines. A disservice having the guards and center they have. 7 of the 19 sacks they have this year have been due to those 3 not knowing who is going to block who on a loop or stunt.
How is Howard doing? For those of y’all who can dissect how OL stack up against the best of the best from their peers.
I'll eat my crow on this one. I liked the Howard pick at the time (thought he was a reach) but was pissed we didn't get Dillard. Thought he was going to be a perennial All Pro.
you and everyone else. It came out of nowhere, and seems to be one position this franchise can find some diamonds in the rough.
There were more than a few people screaming that his performance was an illusion of his one dimensional college offense. All he did in college was set up in a two point stance and drop deep because all they did was throw, and most of it was 3 or 5 step. His worst-in-class bench numbers from the combine reinforced that maybe there was a legit concern. In a perfect world. Jawaan Taylor should have been the guy, especially given that Howard had to shift away from LT, but apparently the entire league got cold feet on him right before the draft, so that wasn't Texans specific. Also, Howard was TOTALLY a Brian Gaine pick in line with the Bill Parcells' philosophy of drafting based on athletic potential only, and BO'B fired him for it.
It feelsgoodman that Howard really was that rough, high ceiling, unfinished product we thought he was.
Why Tytus Howard is struggling at guard and how it could impact the Texans’ future https://www.houstonchronicle.com/te...eft-guard-no-instant-success-for-16497676.php https://www.si.com/nfl/texans/news/...-evaluation-improving-tytus-howard-news-bills
Going back to the "versatility" conversations the forum debated during the b.o.b days. I'd quote ex Texans great Wade on wiping his butt with your opposite hand and that's how everything changes when you switch. Nothing has changed it seems.
If I’m Caserio no way I’m picking up that option with the way he’s playing right now move him back to RT and see what happens.
Exactly. Switching sides takes time and he was coming into his own surpassing the other Tackles in the draft. Then they ask him to switch again, not only back to left but to shift to guard. Why not try Tunsil at center so he won't get demolished hey versatility.
