That was literally this episode except for the murdering. https://bbs.clutchfans.net/threads/fresh-prince-reboot.313064/page-2#post-13711629
I grew up watching it like everyone else. It's on HBO max now and my kiddo LOOOVES to watch it too lol even tries the rap. My wife said if he starts calling women "hunnies" it's over though.
I still dont understand why people get so angry about reboots. there is already so much TV, Movies, Anime, etc out there. You could ignore a reboot you never wanted and still have a lifetime worth of stuff to watch. Plus the original is always going to be there forever.
Yeah, but most of that stuff sucks. Not to mention... nostalgia. Don't mess with "how good things were"!
In no universe should Carlton be more facially attractive than Will. Also, Phil's character looks like he could be the head of a drug cartel and Geoffrey, his second-in-command. lol.
1. It's 2021. People love to get mad at stuff. 2. A reboot might dilute the impact the original had. Most importantly, it represents a negative cycle. It's already ingrained in people's heads / hearts that any reboot will never surpass the original. And because it won't surpass the original, it's automatically worse. And because it's automatically worse, it disrespects the original. And because it disrespects the original, it will never surpass the original. And repeat. Can start from any part of that cycle.
