No footage of N. Korea's Jabbawockeez dance routine was caught on video unfortunately.

I'm afraid we must simply use our imagination. :D

    That's a good point.

Studying it as a prophylactic is unnecessary since vaccines are so effective and safe already. Studies to see if it's viable as therapeutics would be useful.

Money? These vaccines are already pre purchased for every American there's no extra $$$. White House purchased enough vaccines for every American back in March. Why are your talking points so shitty? If you don't want to get the vaccine simply get tested weekly. What's the biggie

Isn't the actual reason rather obvious? Foolish people will be encouraged to go out into crowds, unvaccinated, and "naturally" immunize themselves, rather than take the safe recommended route and vaccinate.

Clearly, there are pros and cons. I lean towards allowing natural immunity to count, but there's reason to be concerned about the potential consequences.

I worked fcking super hard (unfortunately) for my natural immunity, I'm damn sure going to use it. Also, there is no way this bullshit is legal.

In a report by CDC released on August 24th, 2021, CDC found that unvaccinated people are 5x more likely to be infected and 29x more likely to be hospitalized than a fully vaccinated person based on data from Los Angeles County from May 1st to July 25 2021.

    https://www.cdc.gov/mmwr/volumes/70/wr/mm7034e5.htm

If we had gotten every person vaccinated, this pandemic would be effectively over [edit: in the US]. It would be an endemic, posing no threat to the healthcare system.

Doing some back of the envelope math: 13,500 people are hospitalized right now in Texas for covid19. Given that 48% of Texan are fully vaccinated, let's round that to 50%. Given a ratio of 29:1 vaccinated to unvaccinated in a 50:50 population, that would mean out of those 13,500 people, 13050 are unvaccinated and 450 are vaccinated. If everyone had been vaccinated, there would be just 900 people hospitalized for covid right now instead of 13,500.

Covid19 could've been in our rear view mirror and be truly 'flu-like' in impact to our daily lives.

Conversely, if vaccines were not available and things are as open as they are right now, there would be 27,000 in the hospital right now.

The plan for the booster rollout will depend on approval from FDA and other health regulators.

His debt is worth 2 uninsured bottles of his off label horsey butt pills.

    Totally worth it.

Gotta keep yourself protected in these tough uncertain no-vax times.

It's interesting to observe the "IDW" (is that still at thing?) split when it comes to vaccines. There's the conspiracy-oriented track (Rogan, Weinstein), and there's the more science-oriented track (Sam Harris, Quillette editors). Or perhaps it's more a populist/libertarian vs elitist/centrist ideological split that explains it.
