THIS! You can't cheat the process. Too many people want the accolades commensurate with their perceived potential before putting in the work to actually fulfill that potential. KPJ is going into his third season and he's done little on an NBA court thus far beyond showing occasional flashes of potential. He's not a rookie anymore so it only makes sense that he start being judged by what he IS moreso than what he COULD BE. It's up to him to determine exactly what that will be.
Is there anything less significant as a player receiving millions to be concerned about as a freaking game rating?! They mean jack squat…
true but it happens with Madden all the time, from Mahomes to Keenan Allen. Offseason fauxdrama over ratings
It’s silly and if they played the game they’d know it means very little. Now if you are a great shooter and your actual shooting ratings are low then you might have a case, but still. Players acting or truly being affected by ratings is just ultimate Hollywood tom foolery.
I'm surprised by that take. I've had two replies saying the same thing you said. I wonder if most people think that. I'm not saying you're wrong, just curious. Btw, so if you think KPJ's ceiling is high, do you think we need to move Wall even if it's costs us a high draft pick so KPJ's development isn't hindered? Or maybe I'm assuming Wall being here will slow down KPJ
I think some get caught up in the hype when it comes to Green, but KPJ is a VERY talented combo guard that can do things already that Green may never be able to do. I would love to dump Wall, but unfortunately I think the Rockets are stuck with him for a while.
I think there's price for everything. If they really wanted to dump Wall, they could attach a few high future draft picks. I just think they're not willing to part with those high picks because they believe more in tanking and getting a high pick next year over losing their pick and developing KPJ. Am I overthinking this
It's amusing watching people freak out over the ratings, because I know several of the 2k developers.
stop worrying about how you're portrayed in video games and stay focused on how you perform in real life.
The way KPJ threw shade at being ranked worse than rookies bothers me. He needs to accept this is greens team
its because its a great marketing tool and you need, you really need, a great marketing if you want to win in nba... just being skilled is not enough...
