Give me all your free agents. I find it really odd even when we were contenders it seemed like we didn’t have the money and or players just wouldn’t take (minimum) deals like this.
The Lakers are really banking on the improved three point shooting of Monk last year. He became basically nothing but an outside gunner last year.... he better repeat his performance or the Lakers are screwed... When LeBron is your best outside shooter, you are going to lose.
They pretty much had to. I think the only players that were under contract were LeBron, AD, THT and Gasol.
Kinda have to.. 3 superstar money , none left for the little guys. So gotta scrape the bottom of the barrel for guys who can at least dribble a ball.
Monk should be a starter somewhere. If he doesn’t get minutes there, this will be a bad deal for him. Schroder has to be gone, but where is he going? It’s starting to look like the Lakers are a mess again. Three huge egos and lots of partying. I don’t expect them to be in the top 4 in the West next season. Lebron, Davis, and Westbrook will take all of the touches away from all of the role players. Alcohol, cocaine, and syphilis will make the team soft.
Lakers always had pull with free agents since the dawn of time, what surprises me is that the Celtics lost some of that juju.
