That would be the funniest part if he did go to Houston: He would leave Brooklyn high and dry and the Rockets have their picks. On the flip side, Harden would want all those picks immediately traded for one of his offseason pals.
If Harden wants to come back, I see y not. If Cleveland were able to welcome lebron back, idk why houstonians would have any issues either. But we should honestly move on from harden, just his name alone makes some harden haters on here ranting and btching throughout the threads for days.
Dude was yet again playing at an MVP level as recently as this year, so I mean….I’ll be polite and not say anything disparaging about the no’s. That having been said, it’s not happening. I think we all know this.
The reason why it actually crossed my mind was because I saw that he congratulated Christopher on getting drafted and it got me thinking. I was factoring in that he’d pick up that option as long as KD is still there. I agree that I wouldn’t want to go back to the way it was with him running the show but more of a complementary facilitator/veteran leadership type role similar to cp3 this year. I know we’re all feeling pretty high after the draft and I’d only consider it if I thought that it wouldn’t screw up our long term outlook. Luka and the mavs will be up there. I’m interested to see what the suns do when cp leaves. Maybe they learn something and they stay at the top or I could also see them falling back to a mid seed or lower. Basically I think the west will be pretty open. I’m not advocating for bringing him back I’m just pondering what it might look like if the opportunity presented itself. I’m really happy with where we’re at right now and how we’re set up moving forward.
2 years time is still a long way off. But yeah, I'd bring him back at a reasonable price. We should have a pretty amazing line-up by then, so adding Harden as a veteran playmaker could put us over the top Harden Booker Tatum Antetokounmpo Jokic Bench Towns Doncic Mitchell Tate Lamb It might not be reasonable to suggest we manage to keep both Tate AND Lamb - but the rest seems hypothetically doable
Not going to happen but if he wanted to come back it would be absolutely stupid to say no, as long as he has anything left in the tank. And as last year showed, he has MVP stuff left in the tank. Plus, the picks from Brooklyn would immediately become more desirable.
The "NO" part can't be emphasized enough. Excellent player horrible team leader. Sorry it didn't work. Let it go.....It didn't have to be like this he could have won it here, he had opportunities. Only if he didn't take his chances for granted. oh well...
No problem with Harden the person, I’m glad he still shows love. However Rockets have moved on, they now have their foundational building block for the next decade. This is Jalens team
