Harden’s contract runs though the 22/23 season. 2 years for Jalen/kpj/sengun/Garuba to mature. Add a couple more lottery picks over the next 2 years. Wood hits his prime would be 28 we resign him. Harden comes home on a 2 year deal and we have all the nets picks to trade for another star vet/fill out the roster. Would you welcome James back?
I really dont like him and I'm glad i don't have to feel conflicted about that anymore. Effectively, he dropped his pants and took a huge **** on the carpet on his way out the door. Do Not Want.
Not likely to happen Not likely to work More likely to go to the lakers Can I type a sentence without the word ‘likely’? Not likely
He said he “always pays his debts”. He owes us a championship. Pay up James. You have til 2024 to pay your debt
It will be like a Cleveland LeBron James situation, there will be people with feelings which is understandable. But yes, with a developed Green, KPJ, Wood (if he resigns) and likely another top pick plus our young core he could put them over the top if still an all star player.
Maybe. See how he fits. Let's see what it'll look like and how much money he will be demanding Kpj-pg James harden-sg Green-sf Wood-pf Turkish guy-C
We battled one of the top 3 - 4 teams of all time, a great dynasty... for years..finally broke through, had a title...stolen by the League. James should have three MVP's as a Rocket. Yeah, things ended badly, but give it time....
With a couple more years on his body I think you could slot him into the 3. Kpj/Jalen/Harden/Garuba/wood starting lineup. Use those BK picks to maybe plug a vet into garubas spot and bring sengun off the bench. LBJ 2 years older. LAs window is closing or close to it. Who knows what’s going on with the clippers. GS 2 years older. Biggest threat would probably be Utah. I think this team could make a run at it. The only problem I would have is if it would stunt any of our young guys growth. I would only want it on a 2 year deal.
Yes. Easy. I want him to leave Brooklyn. I was all the Big 3 to leave Brooklyn. Remember folks: WE HAVE THEIR PICKS!
I would cross that bridge when we come to it, if we even come to it, but I don't think about bringing him back. Harden screwed Houston, no doubt about it. At the same time, his talent wasn't just amazing for the 8 seasons he was here, it was amazing enough to bring in a treasure chest of picks (compare that to the disaster that was/is Russ). It was a great run. He's an incredible talent. But the Rockets are on a new path now and I'm not sure I'd want to go back to Harden running things here. Also, Harden has a player option for 2022-23 so he technically could become a free agent in a year, if he wanted.
Good perspective, I expect the Suns will still be there and Luka and the Mavs likely might as well. Having experienced them I look at things based on winning a championship long term. If Cleveland hadn't let things go and took LBJ back they wouldn't have had thier first championship in 50 years. Aside from other sports of course, Houston basketball is going on almost 25+ years, you take him back if he is still a star imo. LBJ had a short deal there also iirc. But for now I do agree with Clutch you focus on what's going on today and cross that bridge later. But I would damn sure cross it to win lol.
