All day. Would be a great trade - essentially converts dead salary to a position of need, and upgrades an expired Olynyk to a genuine stopper in the middle, which clears some of the 'confusion' around where Wood and Olynyk fit on the floor (if KO stayed) Also gives Sengun a genuine presence to practice against, and learn from.
Gordon to Mavs for Powell, WCS(waived) Wall to Clippers for Kennard, Beverley, Rondo(waived) Re-sign Olynyk 2/30, Nwaba 2/15 Sign Oliver to a 2-Way deal Porter / Beverley / Augustin Green / Kennard / Christopher Martin / Nwaba / Thomas Olynyk / Tate / Garuba Wood / Powell / Sengun Small no more
Houston trades: Gordon Houston receives: George Hill, Chris Boucher Philly trades: Hill, Simmons Philly receives: Anunoby, Siakam Toronto trades: Boucher, Anunoby, Siakam Toronto receives: Simmons, Gordon Toronto takes the Simmons gamble and moves Siakam, like they’ve been trying to do. Philly rids themselves of Simmons, while taking on two highly capable two-way players. Curry/OG/Harris/Siakam/Embiid might be an odd fit, but there’s enough talent there for a deep playoff run. We move EG’s contract, keep Boucher and waive Hill prior to 8/3 when his contract becomes fully guaranteed.

No!!! You cannot have Olynyk and Wood on the floor at the same time because both of them are offensive guys. You would need a someone who can block shots and get rebounds....Last year.....both of them can shot but no defense at the other end. Keep Gordon, When Green has a bad or off night he can quickly come in and bail us out. He can easily average 16 to 19 points a game.
Kelly Olynyk is likely to have interest from Detroit, which needs another big after trading Mason Plumlee and could use his shooting. The key here is that the Pistons have enough cap room to pay him above the MLE, his likely price target from several other suitors. The Pistons also may bring back veteran Cory Joseph, even though they just waived him, as his price on a new deal will be significantly less than the contract they just expunged. 1 hour ago – via John Hollinger @ The Athletic Guys, i see a sign and trade with Detroit....to get a player
He can be useful, but I would rather not add any further salary. It's hard to move EG and JW without adding multiple 1st round picks. That's a big no from all of us.
Just going to point out that Wall for Knox still works on NBA trade machine As does this trade LAC --> Wall (HOU) SAC --> Gordon (HOU) + Beverley (LAC) + Kennard (LAC) + lower of HOU's 2022 FRP HOU --> Hield (SAC) At this stage, I would take Beverley & Kennard with the knowledge that they can more easily be routed to other teams
I would use Tate as trade bait while that All-Rookie team is still fresh to help get rid of Wall. He is 25 years old and only 6’5 and to small to start at SF or PF with Garuba at 6’8. KJ is at least 6’6 and still young enough to possibly grow a inch or two more I’d use Tate + 2 of the early Brooklyn picks to move Wall to the Clippers for Beverly & whoever Then I would use the clippers return to help sweeten a Gordon trade to GSW for Oubre or something like that I want to see the boys play and willing to give a little extra and let the new era fully begin
My ideal scenario right now Trade on 8/6 LAC: Wall (HOU) HOU: Beverley (LAC) buy out at $12M + creates $30Mish TPE (Beverley signs with hometown Bulls for vet min) ORL: Kennard (LAC) into TE + House (HOU) into TE + LAC 2022 2nd Helps ORL hit salary cap floor + pick up potential starting SFs (or at least depth pieces) Trade on 8/11 HOU: Oshae Brissett (IND) into TE + pickup 2way SF IND: HOU 2025 2nd (protected 31-57) Pacers step back from LT line At trade deadline HOU: Myles Turner IND: Eric Gordon + Daniel Thies Roster PG KPJ - DJA - Thomas SG Green (2) - Brooks - Christopher (24) SF Brissett - Tate Nwaba PF Wood - KMJ - Winslow C Turner - Alperen Sengun (16) - Garuba (23) 2-way: Hurt + ???
