I don't think we have the assets and other teams will probably give a lot just to stop him from being on our roster.
a lot more experience than Taylor and for much of the season taylor has been pitching low leverage compared to Garcia, who is a closer this year. there is a big difference between the 2 although taylor has been solid lately.
I like this move by the Astros a lot. They have improved the bullpen by a lot (they literally brought in a 2 closers - which you can pencil in as a 7th inning guy and an 8th inning guy (and closers for the most part have nerves of steel, so high leverage pitchers in the 7th, 8th, and 9th innings. With these moves, the bullpen might end up being a strength.
Agreed he would have been nice but there are other starters that can help and we need to get another centerfielder.
Yankee fans honestly are so disrespectful toward opponents family in the stands. Using foul language is normal for Yankee fans. Even Star Players are vetoing trades to the Yankees. Gerrit Cole looks like he regrets signing with the Yankees, the Fans boo their own Pitcher if he has a off night.
7th Yimi Garcia 8th Ryan Pressly 9th Kendall Graveman Kendall Graveman Fastball, Sinker, Slider Combination
Max Scherzer for Korey Lee, Pedro Leon, Luis Garcia I would rather keep the Youngsters. Catcher Korey Lee is really needed in the Future. CF Pedro Leon is needed to replace Myles Straw, Myles has been playing solid. Starter Luis Garcia can only get better, just a strong man.
And Ryan Pressley has already said he's willing to pitch anywhere that Dusty deems it necessary. Pressley has no ego, only a drive to win. So I could see Pressley, the all-star not getting mad if the manager chooses to pitch him in a non 9th inning or non-save situation. If Graveman and Garcia can bring their high leverage game to town, they will most assuredly secure a few wins that at the beginning of the year could have been in Jeopardy. Way to go Click!!!
Was at Yankee Stadium in May and every second of the entire game the crowd chanted "F@ck Altuve" even when he wasn't on the field. The 4 guys down our row were the worst.
I won't blame Cole for signing with the Yankees. The New York skyline has a captivating aura to it, I'm a Houstonian and I'm very partial to New York too (I've like all of my business trips to the big apple)... But as the old graduation poem (that got made into a song in the 90's), everyone should live in New York, but leave before you get too hard, and everyone should live in California, but leave before you get too soft. My New York friends are some of the snappiest folks I know, it's just a part of their nature. They tolerate nothing outside their line of their reality, if you aren't helping you are in the way mentality. But if you aren't loud in New York, you get trampled. Didn't Andy Pettite say, in all the years he pitched for the Yankees he only went downtown once or twice.... Even he knew, stay out of the bustle and hustle part of the city.
