Herro had one awesome playoff showing a few years ago.. He's a good player. But the Heat were trying to sell him like a future MVP. Nobody bit on the their demands, and time is showing that Herro, though good, definitely isn't as valuable asset wise, as the Miami asking price dangled around. If I were the Rockets, the need for Herro should not require any premium price tag. A Herro trade for fair Market value I'm fine with, but Miami had a chance to sell high, and they wanted the moon in return (when they dug their heels on his value in the Harden trade talks, they tried to bluff the Rockets, and the Rockets didn't blink). Now Herro's going to have to rebuild that premium value for Miami to dream about the type of return they thought they could get for Herro. It's still funny that Herro was the obstacle that kept Miami from swinging a deal for Harden... lol
This would only make sense if we were attaching picks. I’d do something along these lines in a heartbeat.
Philly needs a prime player if they trade Simmons, I would trade Gordon, Augustin, Tate and 2 FRP(one this year and one next year)
LOL. Yeah, if Miami would take Wall's contract, I'd give it to them for free. Maybe throw in a Rain Forest gift card to show my appreciation of their kindness.
If I trade for Herro I would give them Tate but not Gordon. Gordon is a two way player that can quickly score 16-19 points a game a night but Tate is 6'4, who cannot shoot. He is just a role player like Herro. If we do trade for Herro I would still draft Green and would roll out: Porter Green Herro Wood Olynyk
Stone bought low on KPJ and while the value is still TBD, so far it looks like an absolute steal. I don't think Miami is selling low on Tyler at this point. Trading Wall or Gordon to Miami would likely be us taking back some old timers, unless we can divert them to another team and maybe giving up draft capital. I bet Riley still wants more for Herro and personally I wouldn't trade Tate at this point. He's an absolute glue guy, with an insatiable appetite to improve and someone that will take on opponent's toughest scorers. With Nwaba and Brown FAs, we need to keep our defensive stud. If Stone miraculously trades Wall or Gordon to MIA and somehow receives Herro in return without giving away multiple draft picks, I'll be astonished.
I know he is really young...FY- I did say it regarding the timeline...it was Zach Lowe who said in the podcast
I think Miami is in a win now mode. Houston would have to offer something more that Wall & Gordon in young players and Miami would have to over a ton back in salary.
