I started watching Hunter x Hunter. Wasn't really feeling it for the first few episodes. For 2011, it's animation is very 90s. Main character is too childish. Fairly formulaic plot. But after googling some characters based on familiar designs, I learned it's the same author as Yu Yu Hakusho, one of my favorites. I'm giving it more of a chance now. I hear it gets a lot better.
It is actually really really really good and gets dark. I had this same convo 6 years ago on here as you
I watched the entire thing recently. It drags on towards the end. And when you get to the end, it doesn’t feel that satisfying since the series ends before the manga does so the story isn’t complete.
The Main character is childish for a reason reason, it's a coming of age story and its supposed to play off of everyone else he is around. Its starts to pick up once they start Hunter training one of my all time favorites but some of the arcs are not great.
Honestly wasn’t the biggest fan of the rescue killua arc. The chimera ant was the best, had a lot of character development
The chimera arc had some great moments but it was little to melodramatic for me. The Killua arc also had some great moments and gave some interesting backstory stuff it was all kind of hit or miss after Yorknew city in my opinion. And I never understood why they ditched Spoiler Kurapika
Been watching Sirius the Jaeger. Something about was familiar and then I thought of Eureka 7. I really liked that anime, I think it is underrated and is never talked about. I need to watch it again now that I can understand more of the underlying themes.
The Netero vs Meruem fight is one of my all time favorites. Netero training montage is up there with the first Rocky movie training montage in my opinion. Gon vs Pitou is a great fight as well. New Demonslayer movie was the last thing I watched. Ending hits hard. Animation is top notch as usual.
I'm through the Phantom Troupe arc for HxH. That arc was really good. It was the first time I didn't want to stop watching.
I think it starts dipping from there, a lot of good stuff in the Chimera arc but it was too long IMO. So I wonder if you will actually complete it.
So I am watching Yashahime it's about the offsprings of Inuyasha and Sesshomaru. This makes me nostalgic because Inuyasha was the 1st anime I became somewhat invested in, never completed it but I will probably try now.
