Note to Rockets fans.... The Curry deepthroating will only get worse from here... GSW will be stacked for the next 3 years and God forbid If they package Wiggins, Oubre, and picks for another star....
Harden had a terrible last game against a significantly inferior team. Also, 2017 was his 5th season as a Rocket. He had already proven himself to be a regular season monster. At some point, that's not enough.
here comes the #1 Curry fanboy Harden carried us to 55 wins and a 2nd round appearance...meanwhile, the Rockets were projected to miss the playoffs or be a bottom seed and lose in the 1st round but Curry finishes as the 9th seed, and it’s some success as if the Warriors were projected to finish at the bottom of the West or something
Harden won 45 games with a line up of: Pat Bev, Harden, Chandler Parsons, DMo, Omer Asik. I don't care how terrible this GSW team was, it won't compare to the carcasses Harden has dragged to the playoffs.
Oubre and Wiseman were considered key acquisitions. Both of them performed significantly below their expectations. The fact that the Warriors as a whole achieved their preseason expectations means that Curry significantly outperformed his expectations.
They would certainly perform above expectation playing with Harden lulz Harden makes everyone around him better. He would easily take this Warrior team into the playoffs.
Cant even make the playoffs if he doesnt have superstar help. lulz This generation's manufactured super star.
You mean when Morey custom built a team to complement Harden's skillset? That team had plenty of above-average shooters. Compare that to the hodgepodge of random players that Curry was teamed with this year.... Do you understand the difference?
No, it was the entire season of games in which he had to qualify for the playoffs. But didn't. Yikes. Swing and a huge miss. Harden's fans maybe get the predictability from Harden. You know, the guy who makes the playoffs no matter who he has to carry each year. That kind of predictable.
The Warriors have an interesting roster construction. They are light on big men, even lighter than us. Looney is probably gone, and I see him getting 10-15M/year (at least) in free agency as a 25-yo player with rings, strong late game performances in big minutes, and good versatility and a decent mid range jumper. Bazemore is probably gone too, as is Oubre but he doesn't really matter. With Thompson coming back next year, you will have nearly 140M spread across Curry, Thompson, Wiggins and Green, which puts them over the luxury tax. Between Curry, Poole, Wiggins, Thompson, etc. you have too many guys at the 2/3 spot that need minutes. Maybe with load management and Thompson being slow rolled into games it won't really matter, but the roster construction right now is just really weak once you start thinking about the SF, PF, and C position. Wiseman is a wild card, but his game doesn't fit the rest of the guys. With their picks in this upcoming draft, do they try to offload some of their salary by packaging two picks + Draymond or Wiggins for a better pick or player? After next year Curry will be a FA. If the team feels like it is going through a rebuild, will he want to stick it out, or will he want to go somewhere better positioned for a championship? Curry will be 34 next year and after the season probably lining up for his final payday and career ending decision. Will be interesting to see.
