The guy hadn’t played in 2 years and comes back to average 21 points and 7 assists a game. He hustles and is one of the fastest players in the league. Just don’t get the hate. Is it because he is selfish??? He likely feels he has to be with no other stars on the floor. He knows he ain’t getting assists or helping the team passing to Mason Jones, Danuel House, or other non-NBA talent. Once this team reloads with higher level talent and wins games everyone in Houston will love Wall.
I didn't like Westbrook before Rockets I liked Westbrook as Rocket Don't care for Westbrook as a Wiz I didn't like Wall as a Wizard. I defend Wall coming off a major injury as a Rocket. I won't think much of Wall after he leaves. I've been in his corner until today when I saw he voted on an Instagram poll on him 1) Staying In Houston or 2) Leaving Houston.......this off-season. Supposedly he voted leaving. The door is right there......don't let it hit you on the way out. Just leave your $91M on the table. No way Tilman is paying that. Tilman will sell all his Salt Grass, Joe's Crab Shacks and Landry's restaurants before letting you leave and paying that amount while having a ton on the books still hitting us in the Cap amount.
I mean...that's the definition of a selfish player, thinking you are much better than your teammates and that you should get all of the shots. I'd be for it if we were winning games that way...but we were not. He was trying to prove he's a franchise player and still an all-star player.
I'm still actually laughing my ass off out loud. if I could give that ten likes I would do so. I owe you nine more likes elsewhere. hilarious.
he’s selfish, not that good, proclaims himself the franchise player when he hasn’t done sh*t, and will take touches and shots away from KPJr and Cade if we drafted him while he does his homeless Harden impression
He is not part of our future and is owed the following, which cripples us the next few years - 2020/21 - $41,254,920 2021/22 - $44,310,840 2022/23 - $47,366,760 That's why I want him gone.
I agree, i you are hating on wall, I don't get why you are still a fan. Rockets have John wall is a rocket if you like it or not, you have no control, that won't change. If you want to mope and be miserable, then why be a fan? I'm tired of the negativity around wall, I'm tired of the cynicism here. I don't want to hear about wall sitting out two years and half the season here, stop speaking things into existence! Stop telling me facts, be positive, this isn't the place for that. Real rockets fans will be appreciative of 40 percent of wall's shots, then why not just turn away and grab some nachos for the other 60 percent. its not like you're disappointment makes a difference, so be positive. 42 is Eric Riley's number...you know what team he was on? 93-94 rockets. See, find positive connections, stop your negativity, if yo uwant to be critical, you have no power, mine as well go cheer for the mavs. Sheesh.
People would like him a lot better if he made half as much money. I respect his effort level, but I cringe when he tries to take over a game instead of allowing it to go with the natural flow of things. He’s a good player, it just seems like he thinks he’s more than that. I do like the guy though.
Its more about his contract than his play. That contract is the main roadblock in adding another quality piece. Fact is he's due $91.67m in the next two years and he's not worth a quarter of that figure. You cant trade him without it costing you multiple draft picks and that still might not get it done. John Wall's contract pushes your timeline out to its expiration date. Its not about the man , its not his situation , its not really his play , its how that contract handcuffs upward mobility. Now at the same time , in 18 months that same contract that's a millstone hanging from Stone's neck turns into a huge asset when it becomes an expiring worth $47.366m at the 22/23 deadline.
