He got to game 7 because Paul could not close the Rockets out at home in game 6 after being up 3 -1. That's how.
I am not a Paul hater I just don't understand all of the point gawd madness when he has severely underachieved in the playoffs and I will admit it's mostly because of all the **** harden has gotten about his playoff performances. I especially don't see how he gets all that love when he has blown those type of leads as the point guard. I think like with Giannis we need to wait until the playoffs.
I will truly never get over the Westbrook trade. It was unfathomably stupid the moment it was made, and somehow has just progressively worsened as time has gone by. Worst move in NBA history.
. I disagree. This provides better context. James Harden 12-13: 1st round exit: Lost to OKC (Westbrook/Durant) : Rockets 2nd best player (Chandler Parsons) 13-14: 1st round exit: Lost to POR (Aldridge/ Lillard)Rockets 2nd best player (Dwight Howard) 14-15: wcf: Lost to GS (Curry/Thompson/Green) NBA Champs*: Rockets 2nd best player (Dwight Howard) 15-16: 1st round exit: Lost to Lost to GS (Curry/Thompson/Green) NBA Finals: Rockets 2nd best player (Dwight Howard) 16-17: 2nd round exit: Lost to SAS (Aldridge/Leonard/Parker): Rockets 2nd best player (Eric Gordon) Chris Paul 12-13: 1st round exit: Lost to Mem (Conley/Gasol/Randolph) : Clippers 2nd Best Player ( Blake Griffin) 13-14: 2nd round exit: Lost to OKC (Westbrook/Durant) : Clippers 2nd best player (Blake Griffin) 14-15: 2nd round exit: Lost to HOU (Harden/Howard): Clippers 2nd Best player (Blake Griffin) 15-16: 1st round exit: Lost to Port (Lillard & MCcollum) : Clippers 2nd Best player (Blake Griffin) 16-17: 1st round exit: Lost to Utah (Hayward/Hill/Johnson): Clippers 2nd Best player (Blake Griffin)
what are you disagreeing about. you jumped into a discussion about the standard of the 2nd round and there's a whopping 1 that is pass that. There's far more 1st and 2nd rounds on that list
Who did they lose to and what was each guy working with. CP3 lost to teams that didn't win anything and was playing with more talent. And arguably a better HC to boot. Just looking at the rounds don't tell the whole story.
That literally doesn't matter when the discussion is about the 2nd round, so yeah it does tell the story because that's literally what the topic is about
You can say whatever about CP3, but he is an unquestionable all-time great PG. Are there better ones throughout history? Accomplishment wise, definitely. But, complete mastery in almost every aspect of the game, you're hard press to find someone comparable. Walt Frazier, Big O, or Gary Payton.
At his height, it is extremely impressive. If he were about 3" taller I wonder what his stats would be at this stage.
This is where he usually have problems (NON HARDEN years) 3rd round is where it gets hard Rocket River
CP3 has been amazing since the Rockets traded him for Westbrook. Leads OKC to playoffs and barely losing in game 7. Leads the Suns to 2nd best record in the West. Despite not being 100% leads the team to beat Lebron and the Lakers and now are onto the 2nd round. furthermore, a lot of people thought his contract would be the worst in the league... and now its being reported he will opt out next year! point gawd!
That's generally what happens when you have the better teams in the league left as you get deeper in the playoffs
