While I think he's been a good teammate and he's been a better fit than I think Westbrook would have been, he is just not a winner on the court. Going down the stretch, he forced shots, didn't swing the ball to the open man and even more so, he was not the best point guard on the floor....that belonged to KPJ! HE NEEDS TO GO
Sure, but which team can or will take him off our hands? His contract is a millstone tied round the organization's neck. Meanwhile, CP3, the contract that led to Wall, has his team near the top in the West.
Wall caused us to loose this game. So many poor almost terrible decisions he makes. He must be moved!
He is the perfect tanker on a tanking team. We should be thanking him for his horrible shot selections and decisions not showing him the door!
What do you mean? He scored 20 points on 13 shots that’s very efficient. oh wait it’s the other way around.
As a team thats grandest prospects this year is a 52 percent draft lottery and just developing our talent, Walls mistakes are not very consequential. He has been a pleasant surprise in that when he plays, he still has some explosion, definitely seems like he has matured and has some combination of a chip on his shoulder and gratefulness to compete. This year we can afford for him to ‘find himself’. Hopefully that teaches Porter jr what he does and doesn’t want to be in this league. KPJ has shown the mature steps of always talking about what he can get better at and thats a good sign for a young fella. He talks often to harden, despite his reputation on here, worked on his game year in and year out, added moves, led the league in scoring, led in assists...doing that for several seasons over while playing historically high useage, games, minutes in a load management age takes a lot of mental grit, perseverance, and just pure desire to be great and love the process of getting better. So as long as he has seen the process of it I think KPJ can be special. As far as Wall goes, our issue even next year will be who wants to to take on his mammoth contract for an off injured, inconsistent player. One Crisis at a time...
Hi, welcome. Suuuuch an insightful post! So much new info here... You realise Wall is only here because Westbrick had to go, and that was the best (only?) deal we could get.
It's just that he as 2 years left after this one He will be prime to trade AFTER next year Rocket River
Agreed, I can’t see anyone biting on Wall next year because he also hasn’t proven he can consistently be on the floor. EVen if we include a pick, he has a hefty price tag. I don’t even want to think about it, but there’s possibility we will be tanking next year too and then the movement really starts after next years draft and wall becomes a trade able expiring contract or buy out candidate. With the way this season is going, I’m just hoping all the luck goes our way and we get our top 4 so we can get us a corner stone.
Luckily for us teams are lined up waiting to take him off of our hands. ....sorry we’re stuck with him
just sit him for the rest of his contract.... money the org is paying to the players is fixed and you arent winning with or without him in the next 2 years anyway
we re not stuck, just sit him or bench him for good...that ll teach all the ballhogs a lesson...the way he is he should be playing tennis or some other individual sport
