People are over valuing 2 months of Dipo. The Dallas or NY first round pick may even be an overpay. Those dreaming that we will get AG or Collins for Dipo and a couple of crappy picks are delusional. We are already stuck with Wall and Gordan as our veteran mix. Rome wasn’t built in a day. Gather assets while you can. Dipo walks in the off season.
I like where you are going with this. The Bulls would probably need more draft compensation to take on Wall’s contract. However, GSW could send them an extra pick, given they are getting rid off Wiggins’ contract while upgrading to Oladipo. I’m intrigued by Lauri’s fit with Wood. If he asks for less than $18m/year, and we can add a team option in the last year, I’d be keen. I’d bring Porter back with the MLE. From our pov, it really depends on what it would take for Markkanen to re-sign, what we think of Wiggins, and what picks Chicago would ask of us. If we get to keep our top-4 pick this year and the late Nets picks, we could have a chance at building something interesting. A core of KPJ, Cunningham, Wiggins, Markkanen, Wood plus remaining draft capital has a lot of potential.

I'm thinking DEN and MIA aren't as excited as HOU would be. But how many 4/5's will Rockets need? That trade would bring some balance to roster. But minutes for all these players will be a challenge. Wall/Porter/Agustin EGo/Sterling/Exum Tate/Nwaba/KJ MPJ/Precious/Lamb Wood/Olynyk/Bol/Patton And Rockets still have 3 FRP and 1 SRP in upcoming draft.
If we got that lineup healthy, we might make the 10th seed this season. After all, we are on a 1 game winning streak!
Following the Siakam story, in case Toronto is desperate to move him and he has negative trade value: https://tradenba.com/trades/3qi5v7D5O HOU out: Wall, Oladipo, McL, POR 2021 FRP, 2022 SRP HOU in: Siakam, Iguodala, Danny Green PHI out: Green, Ferguson, Maxey, Scott, 2021 FRP PHI in: Lowry, McL MIA in: Oladipo MIA out: Iguodala, Robinson, 2022 SRP TOR in: Wall, Maxey, Robinson, Scott, Ferguson, POR 2021 FRP from HOU, PHI 2021 FRP, HOU 2021 SRP, MIA 2022 SRP TOR out: Lowry, Siakam I would consider sending a second FRP from HOU if we believe in Siakam as a decent partner to Wood.

I was roasted a bit for bringing up Siakim earlier in the year. His contract would be how much we would have to pay Collins if we got him. Hes a MUCH better defender than Collins too. Hes the perfect kind of guy, whos stock is low at the moment that Stone should take a swing on IMO. Plus hes still young. If we need to move him down the line it shouldnt be super hard. Floor is that hes an Otto Porter Jnr in his later years.
Now this is dang interesting! https://tradenba.com/trades/_-R2bdSUy GSW: Bogdanovic ATL: Oladipo/House/BMac HOU: Oubre, Snell, Okongwu + Hawks FRP Porter/Wall/Agustin Snell/EGo/Sterling Oubre/Tate/Nwaba Okongwu/draft/KJ Wood/Wilson/draft
Both are performing below average for their careers this season. But even without poor seasons, Oubre still putting up 14 PPG vs. Bogdan's 9 PPG. Both shooting around 30%+/- from 3P. But Oubre is younger (same age as Wood) has the uncanny athletic ability to play above the rim, is a better rebounder, shot blocker, disruptor and pushes ball in transition at frenetic pace vs. Bogdan. Oubre is 6'7 to Bogdan's 6'6 but Oubre sports a 7'2 wingspan compared to Bogdan's 6'11. That freak wingspan combined with ridiculous lateral agility, speed and explosiveness is why Oubre can defend more positions than Bogdan, which is helpful in switch defense. Bogdan's best advantage is his ability to distribute, leadership and high IQ. Bogdan is a very mature player and more skilled in technique. I'd rather have EGo than Bogdan IMO, there is a reason why Hawks are trying to dump his contract after less than a single season. Porter EGo Oubre Okongwu Wood That is a long and explosive starting 5.
Whatever happens, Rockets best chances to maximize moving Dipo is 3 team trade. But not seeing need to include Tate, take House or BMac and like it.
Hou Out: Victor Oladipo and Danuel House Hou In: Eric Bledsoe, Tyler Herro, and Jaxson Hayes Houston get two young players for taking on Bledsoe' contract. Mia Out: Tyler Herro, Andre Iguodala Mia In: Victor Oladipo and NOLA 1st Round Pick (Protected) Miami gets veteran to boost their playoff chances and who will re-sign. In addition, they can still look to get Lowry with the NOLA pick. New Orleans Out: Eric Bledsoe, Jaxson Hayes and 1st Rounder New Orleans In: Danuel House and Andre Iguodala New Orleans dumps Bledsoe's contract and get back two veterans to push their playoff hopes.
Wanted to add a little to this so the other teams say yes GSW Wiggins & GSW FRP For Oladipo & House Bulls Wall & McLamore plus 3 FRP —> GSW/21 Milwaukee/21 Detroit/21 For Porter, Markkanen Rockets Wall, Oladipo, House, McLamore plus 2 FRP. Milwaukee/21 & Detroit/21 For Wiggins, Porter, & Markkanen
To Lakers: Kyle Lowry To Rockets: Pascal Siakam To Raptors: Kyle Kuzma Dennis Schroeder Dante Exum Victor Oladipo Montrez Harrell #1 pick (from Houston's collection) Raptors can try a backcourt of VanVleet/Oladipo for a trial run to see how it goes without a long term commitment. They would then end up with Harrell/Kuzma and a pick longer term. It also frees them up some long term money moving Siakam who is having a down year. Rockets would get a power forward solution next to Wood for the price of Oladipo and a pick. Could be buying low on him...
