Yeah he’s fading right on a lot of his stepbacks... I would like him to drive more and take more midrange ....cut down to maybe 5-6 3pt attempts a game
Shot selection and mechanics. These are bad habits he needs to start fixing now or he is just JR Smith with better passing.
2 thoughts. If kpj played in a dantoni offense right now he would be averaging 25 plus pts and 8 plus assists. Wood gives him atleast 3 additional assists and 4 additional pts a game Can't wait to see them two play together along with kmj who buy the way legitimately looks like os jumping off a trampoline every time.
IMO, If you get Cade or Jalen you still should keep John Wall. Young players needs veterans to teach them how to lead and build habits that create consistent winning...Plus the way the league is these days the more ball handlers and shooters you have the better. I would be tempted to see what's out there for Wall but given the contract situation I'm not for taking back bad money to get rid on him.
Before porter takes anymore step back 3's. He needs to actually make spot up 3's. What he's doing now is trying to fly before being able to crawl.
It seems you are the casual, who was the head coach of the Rockets when Clint Capela was a rookie? Here's a hint, it wasn't Mike D'Antoni.
hes a former pick no 1 who doesn't know how or even doesnt care to throw a simple lob pass to one of the best lob catchers in the nba... trade him yesterday even if pick or 2 need be attached to get rid of this fake pg...
Clint played much more minutes his SECOND season in the league, under Mike D'Antoni. Clint became a stud under D'Antoni. Do you know how many seasons Porter has played? I'll give you a hint, Porter is NOT a rookie. LOL
Well....given that D'Antoni wasn't the coach in his second season, no, he didn't give him any minutes. In Capela's 3rd season, D'Antoni reluctantly gave Capela minutes because there was effectively no other center on the roster that was capable of playing heavy minutes. The corpse of what was once Nene was technically on the roster so he played nearly as many minutes per game as Capela....because D'Antoni. With D'Antoni, if you are a rookie and there's any vet that can play your positon, you are almost certainly riding the bench. Seriously, I get being a casual, but have you ignored MDA's entire career as a coach?
nah, MDA would play him. only difference is then you'd say this | v I have faith your penchant for saying only negatives will find a way in every scenario
LOL So D'Antoni was "forced" to play Capela when a still effective Nene was on the roster? Wow, way to twist history because you F'ed up with your MDA slander. Harden-CP3-Capela was the most efficient trio in the NBA. Pretty good for being "forced" into doing something. In fact, that is a major credit to a coach that can make lemons into champagne. And prior to CP3 arrival, Clint was an elite roller and played with his hair on fire baseline to baseline. MDA and Harden literally weaponized Clint. Do you still want to go down this path?
His entire history as a head coach suggests otherwise. He'd play guys who had more experience over KPJ unless no one else was available. Seriously, this isn't something new or controversial, MDA his entire career has shied away from playing young guys. Since he couldn't handle heavy minutes at that point in his career, that's why MDA was forced to play Capela, there was no one else available. Also, again, we're talking about Capela's 3rd season when we're talking about MDA, not either of his first two seasons because McHale/JBB was the head coach in those seasons. When it comes to CP3, he didn't come along till Capela's 4th season, and he was still getting fewer than 28 minutes per game then because MDA was still trying to run Nene out there 14+ minutes per game. You know, playing the over the hill vet minutes he should be playing the young guy....something MDA is well known for by all but the most casual of fans.
His vision and passing abilities have really impressed me. He’s got some serious star potential. Really hope we can pair him with Cade
