His rotations are horrible. His offensive game plan is just iso and shoot threes. I think he will get another season but he would need to improve next season
Fired at the end of the season? No way, the need him for year two tank... assuming we keep our pick this year... otherwise they need him for year one B tank. Think of Silas as Bickerstaff. Someone has to play the role of “coach”.
Exactly my point, we are literally doing nothing. And man, I understand the strategy behind the tanking, but this is really embarrassing on the competitive aspect. I agree, it's even worse than that Sixers team, because we don't have a young rotation to blame and the point differential is getting worse with every loss, but we also have 50% chance of losing the pick.
He’ll get another shot. He’s part of the rebuild. You guys realize Houston isn’t trying to win games right?
Cleveland held it against John Lucas even though Lucas was known to have a good dynamic with Lebron ahead of the draft.
Bruh, you don’t really understand low-key tanking do you? Or rebuild? If you gonna rebuild you gotta go full tank... see Houston Astros.
Have you looked at this roster??? We're starting players who would be at the end of the bench on good teams. You can't be serious.
It’s not just about losing, it’s how you’re losing. The Timberwolves are actively tanking but they still fired their coach. Silas doesn’t know what’s going on half the time with his players, he doesn’t understand some of their strengths and weaknesses, the decision making and how the Rockets come out every second half so bad with no improvement, the body language from HIM. It’s not good for the organization period.
The rockets have 2 fist that they didn't give a way in the Westbrook trade coming up. They need a coach that will help them tank.
He has gotten a pass because the more losses the better, but the part that is concerning is that a coach usually does not participate in the tank, it is usually the FO that determines who is available to the coach. Usually a coach can find a way to get a win though, a coach is an extension of the players which also should be trying to win. It is surprising he is not able to scrape together a single win after all of this time with a lot of players that are in demand. We literally had 4 veterans that are in high demand by the league and the coach can not get a single win. When his goal goes from trying to lose to trying to win he will not be getting a pass.
I don't think so I am sure he is down and the org told him he won't be judged this year.....however when his contract is up, they will judge his overall record. DD
The team won't admit to tanking. But its Abrams style tank. Coach is safe inside and running the tank.
Why would he be? A coaching staff of Pop, Red Auerbach, and Pat Riley couldn't do any better with a team full of G leaguers.
Timber wolves under finch look good or atleast respectable . They just beat the blazers tonight and have been in almost every game. Btw, finch is the guy they should have hired as soon as they fired Kevin McFail instead of Bickerstaff
That team right now would kick our ass... they had Covington, Wood, Jerami Grant, Nerlens Noel and Holmes I believe... gather them all up right now and they would beat this Rockets team.
What did you come here to see??? Wow. No chance he gets sacked. The dude was hired for "the process" (shh, don't call it that). To play the young guys and lose a lot of games. Do you really think the roster available could have won more games under Phil Jackson? Spoiler: next season is also a write-off, even if we get pick 1. We'll be playing young guys, losing lots, flipping assets, and clearing cap space for the summer of 2022/23.
Wood, Dipo, wall, and gordon always seem to be the hurt and they are our best players. Coaching in the NBA is overrated. Pop is the best coach in the NBA and he has struggled when he has no duncan or leonard.
