also have you noticed the notorious harden haters over the years( we all know their names) who used to trash harden in game threads when he played bad are no where to be found now. They have been preaching trading harden for years, now they got their wish and they are ghost lol.

 

Bitter pill to swallow. Just need a John Wall interview throwing shade and blaming Harden to wash this all down and a Boogie interview talking about...oh wait.

To be fair I doubt those posters were even true Rockets fans. I mean think about it what real rockets fan wants or wanted the best player in franchise history since Hakeem traded in his prime. They had to know we were gonna suck once he left

Not gonna lie, I also put blame on clutch for not locking that stupid, “trade harden” thread. You wouldn’t find a trade Damian lillard thread on blazersedge, a trade devin booker thread on brightofthesun, or a trade Donovan Mitchell thread on any jazz forum, despite his first round flameouts. Yet we had a better player than all of them and their was a thread as long as the Great Wall of China after every rockets loss explaining why we should move him smh. I can’t say we don’t deserve this. We brought it on ourselves, hopefully the next superstar we get the caliber of James harden we treat better

you're giving them a bit too much credit. I've been around long enough to know a number of them truly believed the rockets were better off without harden. and that's not an exaggeration

 

We may never get another player of hardens caliber in our franchise ever again. Forget the numbers and leading the rockets to the 2nd most wins in the nba during his rockets tenure. Look at Christian wood( god bless his heart) but how many times have we seen harden sprain his ankle worse than that and not only NOT miss any games but stay in the game and finish. I lived through the Yao and mcgrady injury era. Harden was a breath of fresh air. But alas he’s gone now

Feels like his replacements seem to have had more bad games in less than half a season than he did in 8 years.

 

Good point. Three years ago, the Rockets had two top 30/40 players of all time (though CP3 was slightly out of his prime) and a very sizeable contigent of Rockets "fans" hated both of them.

These same "fans" then turned around and cheered for Westbrook as the leader the team needed lmao.

yep, thats one thing i noticed about teams with all star to superstar level players, they are worshipped. Harden for whatever reason is hated by a large chunk of houston. It seems like we always went out of our way to meme harden or trash, case in point. that harden plays no defense video was made by poster on clutchfans. No other fanbase would do that
