For those that missed this from earlier today, let the movement continue! This causes "electric vehicle"-related stocks to pop today (even good ol' NKLA) : Biden plans to replace government fleet with electric vehicles
Thanks for the explanation, so this stock is pure manipulated hype? and people are making millions off of this while others are losing millions off of this? How is this legal?
I decided to look at ICLN in case I wanted to diversify beyond TAN, and well... it's about 10-11% PLUG. Just an FYI.
Yeah, but there are probably even people "long" that are losing their money. You know there are people in there "daytrading" by saying "omg, it's up to $120?! I need to FOMO and buy!" So they buy... then it tanks down to $90, so "omg, get me out of this!" so they sell... then it goes back up... lol. I'm thinking this is where some people lose money without being short. On a sidenote : I saw today Tom Lee on CNBC say the average position in a stock lasts 40 seconds... think about how that's even possible (and it's very possible).
I put $750 in yesterday for FUN , to be part of history and lost $300 and got out, so there you have it lol. Actually I was up before it went down.
Dumped 40%. I'm not happy about it. I'm not sad about it. I'm numb. I see GME going up 40000000% and I don't care about anything anymore.
People are scrambling looking for the next GME. Tootsie Roll, Tanger, AMC, BBBY... in actuality. The next GME might be SHORTING GME, lol. Just not... soon... Watch GME get to $4,000 and they buy Sony Playstation divison or something. Lulz.
For those of you asking about what they could do with Reddit, here's a former SEC lawyer that was interviewed on CNBC about an hour or so ago. I was looking for the video thinking it would be useful into possibly answering how they think. He talks about what they may be thinking and why they would have that line of thinking :
This GME stonkishness is pretty remarkable to say the least. It makes me wonder what the SEC is thinking. Do they want to stop these internet frenzy get rich overnight episodes? Or do they not give a **** cause Uncle Sam is about to collect? Even if they did want to crack down, how do they stop it? Maybe we are all destined to get rich via WSB? It’s comedy all around! I for one didn’t even attempt to get into GME, I should have this morning but whatevs. It’s fun to watch nonetheless!
