Eric B. will almost never have a Team with a QB like Watson. All the dysfunction is because of Bill O'Brien, Easterby, and McNair. Caserio is here to calm things down and get back to football. Easterby (if here) will fade into the background, McNair can go back to counting his money. Bob McNair almost never interfered with the Team (Duane Brown exception...and the whole "get me a QB" thing that lead to Brock). We know Cal McNair hates the spotlight. Caserio just needs to get the right coach in here...and go from there. I think the attempt to interview EB ASAP is an attempt to calm things down.
Why do you keep saying things along the lines of "Easterby (if here)"? "If here" my ass. ....and then you magically posit that he will "fade into the background". What the **** are you basing any of this on? I mean, I like the idea for sure, but....
You do realize that Easterby was pushed into the foreground by BoB and the firing of Brian Gaine? The push him into duties that he should not have ever had. I do believe he wanted to be GM and he failed at it miserably with BoB. I still believe at some point Easterby will be gone. How long does it take? Don’t know. The coach hire is more important. Caserio and the Head Coach will be out front. The Texans will do EVERYTHING to keep Easterby in the background as much as possible.
You do realize that despite him failing at "GM miserably with BoB," Cal still named him interim GM right? You also realize that Cal straight up said Easterby was going to be a part of this franchise and would work with the new GM, something that both proved to be true despite you saying Easterby wasn't a problem and that the new GM would take care of it. On top of that, Cal reiterated just yesterday that he is not firing Easterby. You have consistently been wrong about BoB, Cal, and now Easterby.
Cal is the problem... not Easterby or whoever becomes the new place-holder to be Cal's life-coach/buddy/godfather to his kids/etc.
For a QB who's "not that good" or who you "cant win a championship with" its sure amazing to see almost every single team fall over themselves with a chance to make an offer! LOL
ugh. As much as I don't wanna lose Watson, if he truly wants out I would jump all over this. Good haul and O'Brien isn't here to scew it up.
I can't think of a reason why the Texans would even consider trading him even if he is "demanding it".
Your probably right but I have no doubt that management wouldn't be able to get the best available trade package.
Lol. no. Watson can play until he's 40. McCaffrey is coming off of missing 13 games and has 3 years left as a tier 1 back at max. 3 firsts, 2 seconds, really good player. Ain't happening though. We need to keep Watson
