KD and Harden showed some insane chemistry but Kyrie being the headcase and cancer that he is is obv gonna mess that **** up. Also I see Nets are getting the Dumbtoni special, KD just got back from season ending injury and he been playing 40+ mins. Irving gets back and KD plays 50 mins LULZ. I respect KD a lot but thats the PT I wanna see him get every game. Hopefully he burns out by midseason so we get immediate return on those picks.
The smart thing to do is def trade Kyrie but he might end up going crazy and killing himself. Dude looks like he is depressed and battling inner demons. From what I heard Irving is a good dude off the court and despite all the crazy stuff he says has done a lot of good for the community. Hope he oulls his **** together soon.
They shouldn't even expect any value in return. Getting rid of Kyrie for them is addition by subtraction. The biggest fear is negative value. If they need to give up some assets just for the trouble of taking Kyrie from their hand, then they might hesitate. But I think there are teams that will gladly take a great scorer like that.
Yeah I think there's probably someone out there. Charlotte maybe or someone desperate for firepower. I just wonder if they have the gumption to do it or will they play out this year to see. It's still going to take balls for the GM to do that because if they don't win after trading Kyrie a lot of people will say "See, if only we had Kyrie!" for that reason I think they play out this year...
The Nets need to just send Kyrie to Toronto for Lowry and OG. Lowry brings defense and his big behind and will come off the books after this year. OG plays the super 3&D guy. Toronto gets a headcase All-Star to pair with Siakam for the next 3-4 years.
Harden has the same problem he had here for like 8 years. They have no paint protection or decent role players. Harris is probably their best spot-up shooter, but I wouldn't say he's that elite. I mean, people can claim he played trash in the last 2 games, but he got a 21 point triple-double the game before and he got 19 points and 11 assists with decent shooting tonight. Not great games for Harden's caliber, but definitely not terrible. Great games for other superstars. To be honest, he probably would have had 20 assists tonight if his teammates hit their wide open shots. The problem wasn't the offense tonight, it was the defense. They got killed on the boards, paint points and bench points tonight. They seriously need to bring in 3 or 4 decent players by the trade deadline otherwise they ain't getting far in the playoffs. They seriously need a good defensive big because Jordan is one of the worst centers I've ever seen. For a guy that's like 250lbs and 6ft 10, he gets bullied so easily. I would definitely be very concerned if I were a Nets fan. They have a great offense but their defense is as bad as ours.
Also shows how useless Harden is off ball. Not setting screens, not moving, not being engaged, not playing defense and it screwed the Nets tonight
Huh? The problem was the paint defense tonight. The majority of the Cavs' points came in the paint. They got killed on the boards and from 2nd chance points and in the paint. Also, their bench absolutely killed the Nets bench once again. Pretty certain the Cavs' bench players have scored 25 to 30 points more than the Nets bench players in both games. No matter how you look at it, the Nets do not have good bench players. Green and Harris are decent role players, but even those guys are not going to score that many points most nights. They rely on good playmaking to get open. The Nets will win a lot of games solely based on KD, Kyrie and Harden's scoring. But, they're going to struggle against most big men team this season.
